Well I was stuck in a show in Glasgow so only got snippets when I could phone home. Not impressed but reading the only neutral report it appears the same old story since Warnock left - no bottle against the big teams and the bigger games.
I am a resultist (I have to be when I can't see the game, so it may not be a total reflection of what goes on) but as they say it's results that matter.
United seem totally incapable of getting anything from big games any more. Against Charlton, Huddersfield, Stevenage, Pigs, MK Dons its P6 W2 D1 L5. 7 points from 18, that's pretty poor. Whilst we could still go up by doing better aginst lesser teams this is the deal. If its not 2nd spot (1st spot Charlton are out of sight), then forget the play offs now cos United will clearly screw it up.
We seem to either win or lose this season compared to those around us, with draws a bit few and far so our points tally is better than it might be, but I wouldn't want to be meeting any of the other contenders in the play offs. Indeed I don't think we would even get to the final.
So its 2nd or League 1 mediocrity again me thinks.
