Literally, nobody knows. He started at Fylde, had literally nothing to do for the 15 minutes he had on the pitch, apart from fear for his life when that donkey Kean Bryan nailed him.

What a job being a goalkeeper is eh? Even De Gea was being questioned the other day and fans saying he wasn't good enough. I was very impressed with him when we played Man U at the lane - looked a cut above to me.

I personally think Verrips was a Prince Abdullah/ RIP Van Winkle signing, due to their insider knowledge of the Belgium League. We didn’t have a third choice keeper and he was available for free, due to a contractual loophole.

I assume that it turns out he’s not as good as Simon Moore and hence is still third choice?

it will probably be as simple as that - although some of our fans do like a conspiracy theory.

% days a week training will actually show what ALL players are good/bad/indifferent at and as CW keeps telling us - he believes they are teachers of football, perhaps Verrips was a gamble that hasn't paid off but gave us adequate cover if needed. Morrison was a gamble too, again not worked out.

He’s in the 25. “Home grown players” are in the 25 – you’re not if you were 21 at the start of the season. Eastwood wasn’t, so had to be in the 25.

I think whenever we sign a player we all hope they're going to be a superstar, but the reality is this is Premier League football and you need three senior keepers. It's disappointing that Verrips is still behind Moore but it is what it is - just another area we'll need to strengthen for our second season.

I think some of the comments on Moore are a bit harsh, unsure may equate to lack of match fitness. One think I do remember is in both abysmal league cup matches we had he was probably the best player apart from Basham. Some of the saves he made in that second league cup match were outstanding it could have been 10 against us easy.

Like Alan Kelly, Simon Tracey (Paddy Kenny?) and to some extent Mel Rees we have currently got a keeper the majority of fans have confidence in between the sticks. If he does go back we cant say the same about Verrips and Moore but that maybe they have not had chance to prove it to us.

On another side note just watched FF and Mark Lawrence said we had been "fantastic" this season, I nearly choked on my chicken McNugget.

If he's worse than Moore , we need 3 keepers in the summer when Hendo departs.
Just what is the reason Verrips can't get a game ?
Is it the contractual problem still ?

We may see him in the FACup semi final or final versus ManU.

Moore's 6 conceded in 2 games against them, might mean a rest for that one
