I know this is a nonsense rumour, but having read this thread, i'd like us to sign him just so that i can read the multiple threads on the subject with a nice cuppa and see the melt downs go into full swing... It would start with Vardy vitriol and then move into Wilder and the Prince with a final dig at Bettis for being the snake to get it over the line.
Vardy has been a fantastic footballer, playing in the Top division for 8 or 9 years, winning the Premier league, playing for England 26 times. All of this on the back of being released from the Academy of our neighbours and having to climb through the leagues to realise his dream. He's done incredibly well and his experience must be immeasurable at Leicester.
Credit to him as well for getting back fit and being patient, I understand he played well in the cup on the weekend, but his career as a player is coming to an end.
He's an absolute shit house, like Billy has been for years, he knows how he can also be a pantomime villian and he understands rivalry perfectly. His smashing of our corner flag demonstrating it, which probably just crossed the line, but played into the hands of some of our fans. He's a twat, a piggy twat but a hell of a player in his time.
Get him signed, lets see the forum meltdown![]()
As Peter Crouch said when asked what would you be if you weren't a footballer - "a virgin"What really baffles me in all this is how someone so fucking obnoxious and pug ugly actually got to shag more than one bird in his lifetime?
I guess there really is someone for everyone.

How can you not like Indian food ???
He's been at the wrong club in the wrong town for a long time if he doesn't like Indian food! How can you not like Indian food ???
I hope we don't sign him on that fact alone![]()
I thought he would become a pro when I used to watch him at Stocksbridge Park Steels. He was way too good for the NPL. But I couldn’t have imagined he would have achieved what he has. Fair play to him.I don't particularly like the lad as a person and nothing to do with hisroots but you have to admire his career and what a fitting send off today.
200 goals in 500 appearances with a PL title and FA Cup winners medal.
Who would have believed that when he signed from Fleetwood.
You would have only seen him in the daylight, same as me. He was always under curfew, sometimes with a tag on.I thought he would become a pro when I used to watch him at Stocksbridge Park Steels. He was the replacement for Stefan Zoll who was one of the best non league strikers I had ever seen & was responsible for firing SPS into the NPL in the first place. At that point there were real hopes of making the next step up to the Conference North, but the money has never been there. It’s a shame, the club is sadly South Yorkshire’s best kept secret, it deserves more support. The quality is much higher than Hallam or Sheffield FC, neither of which have ever made it into the NPL.You would have only seen him in the daylight, same as me. I helped him on his way by allowing him to score a first half hat trick in a pre season game when he was at Stocksbridge. He signed for Halifax a few weeks later. Horrible little shit to play against but he was fast and knew where the goal was.I thought he would become a pro when I used to watch him at Stocksbridge Park Steels. He was way too good for the NPL. They made a bit of money through player sales,Simon Marples,Lee Mills and another one who escapes me. Good money at the time. Alan Bethell was chairman for a long time and a great asset as well as a good committee. They ran lots of under age clubs and all that takes a lot of cash flow. COVID nearly ruined them,as well as Mr Bethell getting dementia. Harrison Biggins as well, son of Wayne. He was the replacement for Stefan Zoll who was one of the best non league strikers I had ever seen & was responsible for firing SPS into the NPL in the first place. Alan Bethell did a great job there for many years. He was always proud of the fact that, unlike many of the other clubs at that level, they never had to cut the playing budget halfway through the season so players knew where they stood. That’s because he sensibly never set a budget based on prize money from cup runs etc. They made a bit of money through player sales,Simon Marples,Lee Mills and another one who escapes me. Haha maybe,I was there both Chris Hutton/Roger Wood and Mick Horne eras. As said good times. I remember Lee Mills going to Wolves,he didn’t have an agent,he went in with his dad and negotiated his own contract etc.Alan Bethell did a great job there for many years. Depending on when you played there I’m guessing I’ve probably watched you, then?
IF we win on Saturday, it really wouldn't surprise me if Wilder got in touch with him. Weirder things have happened...
