I quite like him tbh. Utter shithouse of this highest order, but does it well. What was the fee? £1m or so for a player who then went on to basically win them the Premier League against all odds. He's had a hell of a career, is a phenomenally rich man and can pick his next move wherever he likes. Think a lot of mid-table and lower PL teams will have been on the phone, just depends if he fancies one more challenge, or an easy payday in the states/Saudi.

No issue at all with him giving it massive portions at us when he's scored at the lane. God knows if I was a footballer and scored at the rustbucket for any side I'd give them both barrels.

I'd have loved to have seen him and Billy in the same team. The shithousery would be off the charts, and it would be hilarious.

I actually think he plays his part well as the panto villain of Blades fans. He makes me laugh. He's certainly not offensive and i've got huge respect for him giving out the banter in the often stale world of football. He's amongst a list of pigs that i'd actually buy a beer for and would love to chat to if I met him.

As a player though, you have to question why he was ever released from the pigs when he's been such a talent over the last few years, perhaps he was a late bloomer (Ian Wright was the same). He can still bang goals in and you'd ordinarily be mad to not want him at your club, even if its to come off the bench.

But, heres the thing. He would go down hugely in my estimation of him as a pig if he were to sign for us. Plenty have done it before and had great success, Madine perhaps the most similar, but Vardy is just different, He gives it out because he's a scruffy Pig fan, not because he gets the rivalry and has played there. And that changes it for me.

I'd love to see him at another club in whatever league were in, knowing that he's going to give it the big un and some of our lot wanting to throttle him. We need that edge in the game.

I really like Vardy despite him being a pig. I like that he has properly grafted to get where he is from where he started, that he (as reported so perhaps not fact) could have gone to a bigger club than Leicester for an obscene wage, but decided to show loyalty and stay.

I even like that he has given us some when he has played and scored against us. We have given him plenty so why would he not?

Exactly this. Genuinely good luck to him, go to Saudi and rinse whatever you can get out of them.

Best way to sum him up is that he's a wind up merchant, but he's worked hard to have the career he's had.

Be interesting to see where he ends up next, whether it's Wrexham or maybe even Celtic as Brendan Rogers is still there, with that lure of European football.

Had this conversation with a Leicester friend of mine about Vardy and if he get the most grief from our fans at the Lane, I said no because the likes of Madine and Bannan did more to wind up Blades fans and get more grief in turn (before Madine signed for us).

I'll boo him every time he comes to Lane, but he is a really good player and part of me wishes we could have had him in his prime years.
