I said if its not out it doesn't get turned over.
Ok, that’s far from clear.

OK. So what you actually disagree with is how the offside rule is written, not how VAR is enforcing it. I'll ask again - we reword offside as you want, next weekend Mousset is put through for a last minute winner, but his whole torso is half an inch in front of van Dijk when the ball is played. That's offside, right? Or does he need to be an inch ahead? Six inches? Half a yard?
What bit of full torso don't you understand?
If the liner flags for a big toe then let it stand but don't overrule it if he doesn't flag, that's bonkers and is killing the game.
If you think that, it's fine, I'm undecided on how you should word the offside rule. The point is that this is a complain about VAR thread and your point has nothing to do with VAR - it is just interpreting offside as it is currently defined. You want to call it full torso? Fine. I'll ask again, VAR disallows a Mousset winner next week because he's a full torso plus half an inch ahead of a last defender, rather than a full torso minus half an inch. Is this OK?
Simple, look at LBW in cricket, if the ball is only half hitting the stump it's still not out, has to be the whole ball.
For offside it should be the whole torso offside to over rule it, not some fuckers big toe.
If they get it right then I'd have no problem, is it clear and concise?
I don't think the Tottenham situation was clear and concise.
Look at the (lack of) of resolution on this. Who'd've thought it eh? Maybe your God is not as omniscient as you thought.

It's ludicrous and decisions like that will cause harm in the long wrong. Stuff like that will probably mean strikers hang back a bit off the shoulder for fear of VAR and there will be less goals scored.
In my opinion offside should be clear space between a striker and a defender. Nit picking over a millimetre or two on a blurry snapshot is stupid and not even likely to be accurate !
THIS is my problem. When the first goal went in there was a brief celebration; then when it was clear it was going to VAR it just stopped; then when it was chalked up we celebrated again. Killed the joy. Also the lack of consistency in communication to the crowd about what’s going on with VAR needs sorting. Bournemouth flagged it up every time on the big screen. Us, Chelsea and Everton do’t do that.Fu*g VAR it ruins the celebrations. Total joy when the ball went in then automatically the defenders hands go up and don’t know why because Pickford misjudged it and their defender put it in. Probably in the hope the VAR ref loves them and as the hands went everyone went silent then the F wait for the dreaded VAR. Then more celebrations. I tell you what VAR needs to F**k off!!!! It’s ruining the passion and the game I bloody hate it.
Totally ruined the enjoyment of our first goal, I really hate it couldn't bring myself to celebrate it I was that mad. The ref couldn't fucking wait to do his silly charade of a television and he knew it was a valid goal, just look at his interchange with joc as he ran past. Why are they experimenting with something at such a high level anyway, surely the could realise its shit by using the carabao Cup or something? Too much at stake and its a proven disaster already, will they have the bollocks to do 99% of fans, players, managers and pundits want and get fucking rid.Fu*g VAR it ruins the celebrations. Although not quite the same thing, it's no different listening on the radio. I'd normally be cheering in the taxi. But as it went in, Keith and commentator straight away said, well this'll be checked, and it could go either way, and sounded as despondent as could be - so I was too.Totally ruined the enjoyment of our first goal, I really hate it couldn't bring myself to celebrate it I was that mad. So there were two goals that were offside. If you're going to make the argument that either of them should have stood "because it's barely offside and should have been allowed", tell us exactly how far ahead of the last defender an attacker is allowed to be, and what your reaction would be if the attacker is an inch further ahead of that point
This is why I can never get on board with it. I have had chats with people who follow sports with much higher rates of “scoring”. Often they say how can you watch a 1-0 game. I have always pointed out that one will be celebrated more than there 52 or whatever. VAR kills celebrating.THIS is my problem. I have no problem with VAR itself but the way it's implemented isn't right.
For starters the offsides... And I'll use the spurs disallowed goal against Leicester to explain.
From the image VAR used he's mm offside. Yes offside. However, what no one seems to talk about is the lines that determine the most advanced part of the body (that they can play the ball with e.g. The shoulder) are set by humans and are subject to human error. So it's not clear cut offside or not.
The guys in the VAR shed could decide the spurs players shoulder starts 1mm more to the left and that would then make him onside. They could also pause the image 0.1 seconds earlier or later as to when they determine the ball has been played and that would probably also affect the decision.
In my opinion you have to factor this in and its why I believe such marginal cases like the spurs disallowed goal that the goal should stand.
Sorry if this has been covered but why did our 1st go to VAR anyway !!?
Hmmmmm sheff United have scored let's see if we can chalk this off for a player sneezing incorrectly ?!
Also what is the point of lines man anymore , the Leicester goal that went to VAR is clearly off side and should have been given straight away by the linesman's flag
All this crap just gives refs more limelight so they can do there lovely tv mime and then the whole world is looking at them for what they do after several minutes of VAR arsing about
Personally I was surprised it wasn't ruled out. from both angles, it seemed to me that Robinson's sole intention was to impede Pickford. not going to complain though
That to me is level and therefore on sideLook at the (lack of) of resolution on this. Who'd've thought it eh? Maybe your God is not as omniscient as you thought.

It doesn’t matter how much anyone moans, it’s here to stay.
I can’t think of a single sport where video replays/technology has failed, so why would football be the first?

Behind the ball? Here's one from a game I'm watching right now and taking place in Spain.
This incident is to see if a goal should be allowed for offside or not
This is the angle and shot they used to decide it. It took over 3 minutes to make a decision - anyone like to guess if it's goal or no goal?

It’s not about the Laws of the Game, though officialdom always feel the need to interfere.
It’s about taking a game that was immediate and raw and not always perfect. And turning it into a sanitised tv spectacle.
No one who likes VAR can EVER complain about the influence of Sky and TV money on the game.
