Not a great player but Colin Franks has played full back, centre defence, in midfield and centre forward
Keeper, midfield, winger and striker but he was winger in about 85% of the games he played inAlan Woodward
Played centre forward in his 5 1st team games for us. He left for Chesterfield and played centre back for themCharlie Bell
Fastest man in footballNot a great player but Colin Franks has played full back, centre defence, in midfield and centre forward
Good cricketer as well played against him.Played centre forward in his 5 1st team games for us. He left for Chesterfield and played centre back for them
John Tudor was a centre back at Coventry before signing for us. He has played centre back for us a few times, Eddie Colquhoun was ruled out of the midweek game at Pompey in Sept 1970 so Tudor played in his position and we won 5-1. In the next game (v Wendy) Colquhoun returned to his position and Tudor was dropped to the sub's bench. Colquhoun scored our first and Tudor got the memorable winner in the 3-2 win!Not exactly a utility player, but Gareth Taylor was a centre-half, then converted to a centre-forward by Bristol Rovers and that was when we signed him. One of my favourite players, rarely mentioned on here for some reason.
Nick Montgommery - covered every blade of grass :-/
That's what Legends doDidn't Bradders play just about every position (on the right hand side at least)?
Agree not a great player - but ran Andy Barnsley close for ugliest player. Not a great player but Colin Franks has played full back, centre defence, in midfield and centre forward
I have to confess: I dislike "utility players" with a vengeance. "Jack of all trades - Master of none".Agree not a great player - but ran Andy Barnsley close for ugliest player.
