Preseason. All about fitness and team bonding...not in our case. At what point does United players getting pissed get recognised as being unprofessional?

Obviously, I'm not party to ongoing transfer dealings, and a lot can change in a short space of time, but I'm currently concerned about our direction of travel. We seem to be repeating mistakes that we've made on and off for the last 40 yrs, and especially those that recently got us relegated into L1 in the first place. I don' t know whether we take the view that lightning doesn't strike twice or whether we've got collective amnesia as a club, but somebody needs to quickly remember the strategic/operational decisions that we were making between 2009 and 2011, and stop repeating the. I'm not saying that we've suddenly become relegation candidates, but we're tempting fate with what we appear to be doing, and we all know that fate likes to fuck us over given half a chance.
7 of that starting line up were part of the Lesgue 1 promotion team.First game of the season given the documented outgoings and injuries currently looks like this:
Henderson
Basham Stearman O’Connell
Freeman Evans Fleck Stevens
Duffy
Sharp Clarke
Subs: Eastwood, Baldock, Lafferty, Leonard, Lundstram, Holmes, Lavery
Out: Moore, Long (transferred) Wright (inj), Coutts (recovering), Norrington-Davies, Slater, Evans (loaned)
Quite a familiar XI. Wouldn’t let us down. Couple of strikers in the squad over Lavery and a fullback would make the difference in league placings. An upgrade in the defence perhaps and maybe some young pressure for Holmes and Duffy.
No scope to cope with injuries though at the current rate of deck clearing.

It’s both a measure of how little quality investment the club has made & how several JTW additions haven’t made the grade.
The return of Coutts takes on ever more importance.
Drunken fisticuffs apparently, edna took a swing at jock, coutts wouldnt get in a taxi and was arguing with basham who was trying to bundle him into a cab and sharp had a shouting match with someone, was all in the shoutbox / on twitter
england , hailed for being better , lost more world cup games now than germany and argentina did
just saying stats can work for or against youSo what?
England won more matches than Argentina and Germany combined.

LEvans, Leonard and Holmes in January, L Evans was immense towards the end of last season..
Well.. he did alright, I think “immense” is Donald Trumping it a bit.
Most big clubs that get relegated to the Third Division do so ONCE and immediately get out of it never too return again
How many clubs have done that?
I can't think of any apart from Leicester.
Leeds
Forest
Derby
Southampton
Leicester
Birmingham
West Brom

Id reckon germany and argenina would have liked tunisia and panama in their group
Don't forget Wednesday relegated Twice as many times as United to league one this centuryLeeds
Forest
Derby
Southampton
Leicester
Birmingham
West Brom
All been League One clubs briefly fairly recently
You could add Bolton, Wigan, Millwall, Bristol City, Blackburn who went down and came back quickly but I suppose those smaller clubs have a history of getting relegated to Division Three like Sheffield United have
Only Leicester match the criteria you specified.

Southampton
Nope.

Yep..
Norwich
Again, no.
Norwich and Soton went down to League one and came straight back up. Check it.
