The Prince has interviewed 3 managers for the job Jokanovic included but it would seem Blessin is the favourite and is very likely to be confirmed if terms are agreed with Oostende. He will likely be announced after the end of the Belgian season on the 18th April and there is a slim chance he could take the last chunk of matches

Extremely highly regarded within the Red Bull set up and RB Salzburg are also interested if Jesse Marsch takes the Leipzig Job (unlikely)

It would seem lots of movement on the player front also Berge will be leaving to the highest bidder and Coulibally will be coming with Blessin for the new season

All seems very plausible.

Not sure if it's a year too soon for Coulibaly, but if we are knocking back 10m bids from AC Milan, as reported, then there must be something there and he's been a great success story for United World at 2m.

We will be short in this area with Lundstram also off, though you hope that Brunt and Slater might be able to fill out the squad a little. Fleck, Norwood, Coulibaly with Osborn, Slater, Brunt at least gives us enough bodies but you'd like increased mobility especially if we play a more aggressive pressing game. Perhaps this is where the Prem loans come in like Norwich getting Skipp from Spurs. Shame we won't see Berge and Coulibaly together apart from in pre-season friendlies perhaps.

When I was reading up on Oostende, I noted their highest valued player on Transfermarkt at 4m (Coulibaly valued at 3m) was a guy called Arthur Theater, a Belgium U21 international, who could play LCB or LB, which may be of interest if we persist with 3 at the back and O'Connell attracts bids.

Not now Arthur....

Where do you get this from?

Your previous attempts at inside info have been wide of the mark. Dennis was supposed to be having a medical and signing for £16.5m last year?

Don't know what ur credentials are regarding ITK status but I'm inclined to believe it, especially from what YorkBlade has hinted in other thread (and who knows more from within the club than he lets on 😉)

I love speculation, football fans thrive on it.However,i have nightmares when i think that we used to employ people who actually thought that John Lundstram could masquerade as a premier league footballer and actually get away with the deception. In the future we must employ people who have a better grasp of what is needed to be successful in the modern game, being a fan of the club is not enough.

Seems believeable, not like the other one who claimed we were after Doucoure and Alexander Isaac 🤣

I know it’s nothing but Blessin is following SUFC on Instagram now and Prince Mosaad following him!

I normally wouldn't look too much into people's social media follows but It's very telling that the only clubs he follows is Oostende, Blades & Liverpool. It's clear he sees us as a stepping stone...

So ur telling me we're about to announce Jurgen Klopp V2.0 😉

Oh no. This is Att in ST all over again!
Meant to say S6. Won't be the first victim of autocorrect.

Anyway, I'd love to see how we think this United World concept is supposed to pan out.

I'd say that provided they don't have trouble adapting to the country then the successful U23's team should be prime candidates for playing men's football in either France or Belgium.

If Coulibaly comes 'home', He replaces Lundstram. If Berge goes, you add Slater to the roster but it would be nice to have one other strong Midfielder, even if a PL loan. Which then brings into question those U23 players who have every chance of winning the league. Some will remain in the U23s, probably those who are youngest. But it does potentially open up a catchment of players who we could loan to the benefit of Beerschot or Châteauroux and play men's football.

Those that are going to be in their 20th year next season, you could argue probably need to be upping it to men's football, be that lower down the pyramid or with global partners.

Some will be released as is the nature of things but hose who will reach their 20th year next season, if not already are:

G - Dewhurst (20 this past March), Assimah (20 in August)

D - Graham (21 in August, already had a few loans), Lopata (20 in August), Boyes (20 in November, already one non-league loan), Hall (21 in October), Gomis (20 next March), Belehouan (21 in September)

You also have Gordon who has made the squad. Does he go to the wider first team squad and play in the U23s or need week in, week out men's football?

M - Neil (20 in May), Brunt (20 in November), Broadbent (21 in June), Ayari (20 in Feb)

F - N'Diaye (20 this past March) Capello (20 next Jan), Gaxha (20 next March), Tyler Smith (23 in) December)

Of those above, you have Gomis, Belehouan, Ayari, N'Diaye who are all from or involved internationally in a French set up.

It may be better for Ayari to have more U23 time, though you could send him 6 months to France and review in January. If he's smashing it then perhaps he moves to Belgium. You'd think Gomis a prime candidate for Châteauroux, possibly also Belehouan. I think N'Diaye is earmarked for our first team squad.

Intriguing how this could all work.

Do we know who the other manager interviewed was?

So this is what Emmanuel Dennis was waiting for, a lift... 👀

Blessin screams Lukahay to me 😬
I keep seeing this but can’t follow the logic.
I fully get he’s an inexperienced risk but Jos had extensive first team experience.
He managed in the German second division for a year (leading a team to 9th) before resigning to go back as an assistant at Borussia Mönchengladbach. He takes over with them already adrift and they go down. He does get them back up at the first ask, but this is Borussia Mönchengladbach. He’s then sacked the next season with them back in 18th place.
He then goes back to 2B and takes over at Augsburg. First season loses the playoff but gets them promoted at the second ask before leaving for Hertha Berlin. Again, gets them promoted but is bombed halfway through the season and they just stay up.

Blessin in hugely inexperienced but took a team from bottom of the league to competing at the top on a small budget in his first season. I can’t see any link or similarities to Lukahay at all.

I think a lot of the kids being mentioned will go a level lower than us next season. I can’t see a squad going for promotion blooding that many kids who have little or no experience of men’s professional football.
I’ve no doubt some of them will come good, and I look forward to them joining the squad but I think they’re behind where some fans think they are right now. Which is all totally understandable given their age.

Three interviewed, but you name two who’ve been linked previously.

Someone get Sunji back...

The only thing I’d add to the OP is that the Oostende will go into the Belgian playoffs after April 18th and they still have a chance of European qualification.

A question would be whether any announcement would be made whilst the club enters the business end of the season.

That midfield still lacks flair even when you add brunt to it as Coulibaly and slater are more high energy box to box players as opposed to great dribblers or passers of the ball it would still be missing a true X factor player imo I hope we get one.

Fairly unknown foreign coach going to a Sheffield club is the only similarities. Their records are nothing alike

Is Magic Mike Strappon still around? If so what’s he think?
