The ownership comment is interesting..

Didn’t stop us last window signing permanent deals and why would it stop us now?.....unless the situation is close to resolve and new investment for a better standard of player is a real possibility

Interesting comment from Wilder

"#sufc boss CW says the new loan deals for Hogan and Clarke are not “with a view to permanent” transfers because of the ongoing ownership battle at the club preventing some longer term planning."

It shows he is only planning for the short term at the moment rather than medium to long term

UTB

And still nothing about contracts for Duffy and Coutts.

Duffy may well trigger an appearance based extension, but Coutts has no chance here, even if one exists.

Shame.

Happy with what he has said if we go up (big if )are hogan and clarke players we need to keep

I think he mean't the opposite re-Clarke, i.e. if we don't go up.

Duffy signed a new deal last January so he's still under contract until the end of next season. Coutts' will probably be looked at towards the end of the season. Could see him being given an extra year.

Wilder has already made a similiar comment recently about the situation precluding long term planning, and not being the way he likes to go about things.Daren't mention it on here though ;)

Probably has no idea as to his summer budget with the court case coming up in May.
It must be sorted then as his budget for next season will be needed, whether Championship or premiership.
Just hope the prince does the honourable thing and pulls out as we don't want a owner who tries to pull a quick one on McCabe, who although has made lots of mistakes tries to do what's best for the club and fans, only one winner in my book.
Pay the prince back what he s invested and move on with McCabe at helm.
Surely a buyer will come along if he wants out ! but someone who really cares about the club and what it stands for.

Probably didn't stop us last season cos we were signing the likes of Leonard and Holmes.

We had the Brooks money coming in. Now we’ve spent most of it so we can’t afford big transfer fees.

I am not going to read anything into the board situation as it doesn’t seem to have hindered us so far. In regards to long term planning wilder is giving new contracts out which will be on more money so it can’t be that much of an issue

Buying hogan or madine would be an issue even if Kev and the Prince were best pals

It'd be hard to plan long term anyway even if we just had the one owner.

We don't know what league we'll be in next season, and as I said even if it was just the Prince or McCabe funding us, we wouldn't have the money to buy potential Premier League players.

Equally you don't really want to commit to getting Championship players incase we go up.

And Wilder is cutting his cloth accordingly. Hopefully promises have been made regarding funds after the court case is settled and that’s the reason hes looking short term. He knows he’ll need better.

Hogan can't be with a view to a permanent deal because Villa will want most of their money back, and even if we're in the Premier League we won't be spending £10-12 million on anybody
