Is it available online to listen to? What exactly was he asked in regards to booing? Did he mention anything about the players being affected by it?

Think this should work.

Listening to that interview , it again reiterates we ain't going to be far off promotion , and we have definitely the right bloke in charge . I think this so called booing malarkey has brought some positives to both fans and manager . He understands us more and we understand why he makes certain decisions . As he quite rightly says , we all want the same thing . Learning and improving on both sides .

There was booing from about 30' in as we played the ball.across the back four and far more often than not either worked or almost worked an opening.

There was also booing at half time.

A couple of people said there was booing at full time, but this is less definite.

The booing I really couldn't understand was directed straight at Howard after the Oldham game. He'd performed well and people were shouting "fuck off Howard" etc. when he came to clap the fans at the end.

Really is baffling.

Posted a thread at the time saying I hoped his performance would mean the abuse of him would stop.

Depressing.

:-(

I sit on the kop and there was booing at the slow play and constant passing across

the back line I don't remember any booing at half time and definitely none at full time

There was hardly any booing at all - it has been totally blown out of proportion. There were some groans - which were generally justified - and which you hear in every football match.

The crowd was quiet - partly because we have had another disappointing start to the season and partly because a significant number of fans are totally fed up with the Board. The 80 or so away following didn't help either.

There was booing from about 30 minutes in as we passed it across the back, and over the course of the next ten minutes several times worked the ball "through the thirds" and into good positions.

The booing was audible (from John St) over the applause at half time - when we were 1-0 up and in total control.

I didn't hear any booing at full time - but others have said they did.

I sit in the John St stand, have good hearing and heard very little booing. It was only audible at all because the crowd was so quiet - for the reasons I mentioned above. And to be fair, apart from the first couple of minutes the first half was poor. We improved a bit 2nd half though.

Some people just love to knock our fans....I prefer to knock our Board.....

Booing the players negatively affects the team. I back the team over fans who boo, every time.

I will back the fans every time, this team and players will soon be a distant memory but the fans even those that have the audacity to object to a poor performance will still be here IMO

They often say that you can only hear the things that you want to hear, real or perceived.

I didn't hear any booing on Tuesday night from my seat in the South Stand, funny that. Or maybe the fact that I didn't hear any booing, yet you are one of the very few who did actually hear some booing, means that you was pleased to hear it as it gives you some ammunition to use against the supporters who question (and have every right to) the management of Sheffield United FC

I have spent a large amount of my time defending our supporters on various message boards, very vocally.

I clearly heard plenty of booing throughout the first half, at half time, and to a lesser extent in the second half.

No idea what purpose it serves pretending it didn't happen.

It really, really did.

Heard clearly during the first half, as they left the pitch at half time and in smaller pockets during quieter periods in the second half.

Heard none at full time, but plenty of groans on the way out.

All from the half way line on John Street.

Freeman made a back pass and got booed ,Adams did almost exactly the same 2 minutes later got nothing ,then JCR did and Hammond didn't.Howard got stick for keeping a clean sheet ,the team get stick for a 3-0 win ,someone phoned Radio pig last week and said he hoped our captain breaks his leg ,Brian the cunt gets his views aired every night so does James Shield ,pig staton says if you've paid you have the right to boo.
The world is full of wankers with no idea but now they are heard above people with intelligence ,social ( or anti-social ) media has a lot to answer for.

So lets get this straight, you are basically saying that when one of ours are booed the players think that affects their performance in a negative way? I personally think that the players don't give two fucks over the booing and if anything will make them want to play better. Alternatively, the fans could just say well done chaps and not expect anything else from them and basically let the players have a free ride at this great club.

I don't boo because it just doesn't sound right but I would never stop anyone from doing it themselves.

You could say the booing in the first half on Tuesday helped the players put a better shift in the second half, afterall, we did play better. Well done to our fans ;)

Wish I had posted that.

I groan with the best of them and while I don't disagree with the boo's I couldn't ever imagine myself doing it to my own team.
Booing doesn't indicate displeasure to me, it shows a dislike.
They displease me every other week, but I still love um.

You seriously think booing doesn't put pressure on a player and affect his game ,really ?
I still play 6 a side and there is one gobshite who is straight on your back after any mistake ,even that gives you second thoughts next time you have the ball and makes you more negative ,so god knows what its like to have thousands of tossers who couldn't lace your boots on your case.
