Quite a night!

Regular Graphs below.

Also, last match, I was asked to do a comparison with Slav's 17/18 Fulham season and I have now been asked to carry that on, and keep it in a separate thread. which I will do in a Hecky v Slav Updated Graph thread. I've improved that one a bit and I think that is a really interesting graph.

As usual, Graph 1 shows our progress against the 3 benchmark sets of results which I created to achieve 3 different objectives when Hecky took over: -

a chance of the playoffs (71 points);
almost certain playoff achievement (78 points).
almost certain automatic promotion (90 points).

After last night's classic v Blackburn, Graph 1 shows that we are well on track for the playoffs. We're still just 1 point below the autos line but, remember, the reality is that we would need to win 12 of our remaining 14 games to get beyond 90 points - but the longer we stay close to the autos line the ever more likely the playoffs become.

Graph 2 compares this season with the 2 Wilder seasons (10th and 2nd) in the Championship. After 32 games we had 52 points in Wilder's 17/18 season and 58 in 18/19, so we are still 1 point ahead of where we were in 17/18, when we tailed off to 10th, and just 5 points behind Wilder's automatic promotion season in 18/19, our second place season.

Graph 3 compares our current season with Blackwell's 08/09 (3rd) and 09/10 (8th) seasons. For these, on 53 points after 32 games, we are now 2 points ahead of 08/09 (3rd) and 8 points ahead of 09/10 (8th) after 32 games.

As long as we stay close to the "Playoffs Certain" line in Graph 1 and the 08/09 season in Graph 3 we will get to the post-season games. As I said last time, my only worry was that we did seem to be picking up a few injuries to important players, and now with Big Charlie on a 3-match break our squad depth faces a real test. It is when different players have to come in that Hecky's one-for-all spirit really kicks in. Who thinks Ben Davies is still motivated!!

Most of the other results were wins for our rivals - but you expect that at the top of the League. To get above them you have to beat them. Bring them on.

Oh What a Night...
With Apologies to The Four Seasons (and Duff)

Surely you mean we held Wendy to a 0-0 when they completely tore us a new arsehole and were unlucky not to win 7-0
That's what my mates 14 year old said a few days after the game

I have to wonder who put that idea in his head
