When did SWFC last beat us?
13 years or so. We have had great dominance over SWFC since 2017.
I don't think Man U went 13 years without losing to Man City.

Bollocks. Sorry. But that's my thoughts. It's also, ironically, disrespectful to Wednesday who have took points off many sides this season.
You've got to also remember that this team is full of new players who have largely experi

When Manchester United used to regularly beat Manchester City before 2008 they would just shrug and make their way down the tunnel afterwards. That's what I would like us to aspire to be.
Absolutely. The gulf between us and them, is, and should be huge- if not even greater.
Therefore we should have expected to win yesterday (which is not the same as entitled to be clear).
(Putting this on a separate post so not to clog the main one up)
Yesterday sort of reminded me of this:
Yes we have had a miserable season, and if its good for morale then I'm all for it, but if we put in a dire performance against Portsmouth we will all feel a bit silly.
Delighted with the win, but with how weak they were, we should expect to win 'as standard'. They are a league one club, we are not (yet). Waddle, as much as we don't like him, was right- they had a threadbare squad. We should aspire to be more than simply being better than them.
Appreciate this will probably be very unpopular and I'm in a minority I know but it did seem a bit tinpot taking team photos (even if we did it last year) and took a tiny bit of the shine away.
We (players and management) should have just walked around applauding the fans as usual and make then head down the tunnel and focus on preparing for Portsmouth.
And we should celebrate extending itWhen did SWFC last beat us?

Would have been odd to start the thread on Sunday morning !!Oh shut up with this utter drivel. Imagine starting this thread today. Unbelievable

Yes its not quite the same, but we are, or should be lightyears ahead of SWFC.
We were on the verge of making the PL in May, they are in administration and about to go down to league one.
We have been dreadful and shameful this season and should be a bit more humble in accepting that throughout the majority of the season they have shown more fight than we have in relation to ability and resources.
The fact so many of us did not expect to win yesterday is a reflection of how embarrassing we have been. I hope we have turned a corner but there is a heck of a long way to go.
To be clear- celebrating is fine but it was a bit OTT yesterday posing for photos staying on for so long at the end etc.
Dear me. I have read some drivel on here at times, but that opening post takes the biscuit.
If people dont want to celebrate too much then thats up to them, but id suggest that they pipe down and let others celebrate as much as they like, others who know what a complete nob jockey that club is. I cannot tell you how utterly delighted i was yesterday and i celebrated wildly. I will continue to do so until our next game. We over celebrated...my arse.

Which of course represented much more than a 100 point season.Edit:
The OP is from the same lines as another point of view- that our open-top bus parade when we got promoted from League One was excessive.
On a serious note there was an interesting thought in the rugby yesterday that actually makes sense in this context.
Over the last 5 or so years, some England players have become famous for celebrating minor things like knock-ons and scrum penalties etc. This has irked a lot of other fans in other countries.
Recently, it has been noticed that whilst we have been winning more games those players have celebrated far less and been very much "next job".
That was until late yesterday when the game was getting tough, it was as though they needed to celebrate get the energy levels back up.
Had we been at the top of the league I'd imagine it would be far more "next job", but right now we need that spark of energy.
But he his still stuck in the 90's along with Waddle and half the other commentators that haven't a clue. In Rugby Union a derby as big as this (too the fans in particular) have trophy's to play for, in Rugby Union England vs Scotland has a trophy even though it is part of a bigger competition. Same with Edinburgh vs Glasgow, even at semi pro level there is a Yorkshire trophy when there are enough teams to play for it in the same league. Although we don't need a "steel city cup" it is celebrated as such. You clearly didn't read what I said.
I said that the fans can celebrate as much as they want obviously, but the players and management's celebrations were a bit OTT on the day taking team photos as if we'd won a trophy.
Roy Keane would agree with me.
