This is backed up by the fact that Huddersfield Town have called time on their academy teams below U-18 level, at the very same time as they achieve the riches of the Premiership.
Which makes no sense at all. They could quite easily afford it in the PL. They seem to be planning to fail. I'd rather we tried to emulate Spurs who've successfully got back to being a big club without running a huge deficit.

I bet if you asked him what he'd rather have; his money back or the Blades as an established PL club, he'd chose the latter. The money would be nice, but he's not short of a bob or two. I think he'd love to retire as the bloke who restored us to top flight football (even if it did take him twenty years). If he left us in the position West Brom are now, he'd feel like it was job done. Win a trophy and it would be job done well.
you're absolutely right I'm sure he would, and if in time we do make it back to the premier league and get established then he'll get both qudos and money back .

at any point in time its extremely difficult to pinpoint where a clubs finances stand

but after the last set of accounts we have had no great expenses , ie spending more than we can afford on fees and in the main have kept a lot of last season player , some on better contracts but our tv income has risen more than enough to cover it.
Id say if we owe anything like under 5m its a figure thats expected and very workable

You're on

Yup. There's Forces discounts. But sadly Bert wouldn't qualify for that.

Whats a virgin?

Are you from Chesterfield by any chance?

Rumour has it that one day a virgin got married in the Church of St Mary and All Saints there and the spire was so surprised it bent over to take a look! The same rumour says that if another virgin should ever get married there it will straighten up again.
