The 2020/21 Final was played at Bramall Lane (lost 2-0 to Birmingham City)

The 2015/16 Final was played at Bramall Lane (lost 2-1 to Huddersfield Town)

The 2016/17 Final was played at Hillsborough. Sheffield Wednesday are still the only Sheffield side to win the Professional Development League National Title. (Beat Hull City 3-1)

There is usually a draw for home advantage in the Final. I believe if we'd have come out of the draw as the home team, we'd have tried to play the game at Scunthorpe United. Sometimes, the venue is decided on simple practicalities - who has a venue that is available and not under renovation or construction or some other shit.

I was impressed by Faxon's kicking in the last game. One asset our keepers tend to lack!

We won't be taking advantage of that away fans area though. Can't think of anything worse at an Academy game. I went on all four sides of the Old Den, so the New Fangled holds no worries. We'll be in with the Millwall Baggers & Anoraks as their guests.

Academy football is all about pushing kids out of their comfort zones anyway. They don't improve by having it all their own way as they won't in the men's game. Good experience to have a big game away in London!
