A little harsh on a well meaning body of men
I was born in Glasgow and have lived in Sheffield for 40 years. I am proud to be Scottish and think of myself as a Scotsman although i have lived in Sheffield since being a child.
That said i am fiercely proud to live in Sheffield and see it as my home with no intention of returning to Scotland.
Wait until the next Scottish referendum and Queen Nicola issues a proclamation. You'll all be going back, but we might generously allow anyone to stay who's family have lived here over 250 years.
Not sure what that makes me really ( although i am sure a few on here will quickly tell me )
A Blade (and a helpful one at that).
I hope you understood my point though that having local players representing their local club and being successful all adds to the feel good factor of our club at this time.
I did and I agree completely. To have several Sheffield players consistently playing hasn't happened for years. Pinchy's cries of 'bladeyness' aside, I think it would be fantastic if we could get 5 or 6 local lads good enough to turn out every week.
