Tyrese Campbell

He really does look the part, but one of the reasons we have him is his fitness. So with all the striking options it looks like until the end of the season, I have we manage him well and do what we can to address his long term conditioning. But it shows with him and Maja at WBA, a bit wisdom when picking a championship striker is more effective than spending 15 mill on whoever was in last years top scorers list.

I maintain that purple-patch Leon Clarke was the best CF I've seen at BL.

Agreed. At that "purple patch" 2017/2018 era I really, really enjoyed every facet of his game to the point that wherever the ball was I'd also have one eye on where Leon would drift.

There was absolutely no mistakes or luck in his goal return that season, he'd have given PL defenders something to worry about.

Clarke, McGoldrick and now Campbell....maybe we should start trusting the CW/AK judgment on these sort of players with a point to prove.

Amazing play with his back to goal. Just as good running the other way. Free transfer 🤣.

It's so weird (in a good way) to see movement from our striker, it almost surprises you when we play a pass on to one of his runs because we're so used to not seeing it. I don't think he's even doing anything particularly good, it's just what a decent striker should be doing. Moore and Brewster have shockingly bad movement.

He was always going to have something about him being at the Man City academy and turning down a pro contract with them to sign for Stoke who were in the Prem at the time for a tribunal fee, it was always about nurturing it out of him and the main thing, keeping him fit, this is the key!

Another game changer today, well done Tyrese!

He looked sharp last night and with a lot of confidence. I think that it would work well with him and Brewster TC likes to make the runs in behind wile RB likes to drop a bit deeper and link the play, playing a lot of intelligent passes. Moore either flicks it on or is slower in his passing and is a bit easier to defend against.
I could see , TC, RB, O’Hare and Hamer creating a lot of chances at this level

Agree , TC introduction along with Seriki completely turned the dynamic of the game last night & Brewster looked a lot more involved as part of a front 2 .
Thought Campbell was instrumental in our win , held the ball up , ran the channels & brought players around him into the game with some good centre forward play 👍⚔️
