Category 1-go to almost every home and away game, the hardcores.
Category 2-go to almost every home game and a few away games, the semi-hardcores
Category 3-the supporters-go to between 5 or 10 games a season/live too far away to attend
Category 4-turn up for the odd big game (usually play offs/derbies/big cup games)
Which one are you?

Don't believe in categorising people and there isn't a category I fit in on this list, due to the word "almost" :)

You can't put supporters into categories.
I live in Norwich so i'm not able to attend as much as i'd like, but, i'm as passionate as the next man/woman when it comes to my love for the club.

i go to all home games and a couple of away games every season i would love to go to all away games but just don't have the funds.
i agree you can't put suppoerters into categories as you can be just as passionate and just go to 1 game a season.
the cost of going to games is a major factor for some.

Perhaps the catagories should be something like:

1.Turn up to all games you can, passionately support the team at every games but appreciate there are more important things in life to get too wound up about

2, Turn up to most games you can, support the team and defend them no matter what and blindly deny anyones right to critsise

3. Turn up to some games at home(rarely away),tries to engage in realistic debate about the club and can see both sides of a reasoned argument. Prefers fans who look forward instead of harping on about the past.

4. turn up to some games and can't wait to slag off the latest scapegoat and critisise on forums after every game. The club doesn't do anything right.

5, goes to games when they feel like it,go on forums to critisise the club and believe their view is right and everyone else is stupid.Moan about the loyalty points system when they can't get a ticket

6. Calls themselves a 'fan' yet cannot find anything right with the club or people who support the club. Believe any negative rumour at the club and don't listen to the facts when revealed.G o to one or two games a season and critisises the club for givin priority to fans who go to games.

I sure some of you will think of more. :)

TEST YOURSELF!

Find out how big a Blade YOU are.

- You hope the Blades win their football matches - 1 point
- You do not hope the Blades win their football matches - 0 point

NOW ADD UP YOUR SCORE!

1 point - Congratulations, you're a Blade
0 point - Sorry, you're not a Blade
In my personal experience, there has not been many opportunities for self-congratulation on being a Blade.

'Hardcore' to ridiculous extremes for 30 years, part time and generally apathetic for last 3 years, hate most things to do with modern football, hate many things about United but can't quite let go.

When it's in you, you're stuffed for life, regardless of how many matches you go to.

Couldn't agree more, modern football has almost destroyed my love of the beautiful game. Really enjoyed the 1st division last year (it felt a bit more real) but only kept going because ny eldest daughter wouldn't let me give up.

7. Been to almost every game for 20 years or more and its worn you down so much that you use terms like "sold us down the river" and "when Deane and Agana were playing..." and feel like you've seen everything the club does you've seen in a previous incarnation, but McCabe has done it worse.

Another "Bladeness Test". We've not had one of these for a few weeks now, it was about time. This does however fail to mention number of Blades tattoos, or pets with Blade related names, or tattooed pets with Blades names and Blades tattoos of Dane Whitehouse's budgie. Or something.

7. Realistic fans who can remove the Blade blinkers and see what is really happening to their beloved club but get shouted down when these issues are raised
