I don't subscribe to The Star, but going onto there website through a popular search engine, there is still no mention of the signing (although i now know what Jokanovics starting 11 from his first game in charge are doing).

It looks like it has definately caught them by suprise, but as you say, they are probably too focused looking across the city.

I dont really subscibe to the 'they favour them more than us' theory, but things like this do add fuel to the fire.

Having said that, i like that we are doing business quietly, although it could effect the 'rumour section' on here

Really pleased with this signing. 6 foot 3 composed on the ball can play on the left. Has a look of Anel about him on the floor but much better in the air a considerable failing last year. Hopefully Anel will sign an extended contract and a new centre back partnership is born. Just need another CB of similar ilk to come in preferably a LCB with the same attributes. If its Phillips then that would be a useful addition to an area that was cruelly exposed in our 3 game promotion costing capitulation at the end of last season

Very possibly because we weren’t in for them. If we signed every player that someone on here would have liked us to go for, can you imagine how ridiculous it would be?
