Not necessarily, this deal might have been in the pipeline irrespective of whether Souza went or not.

My only concern is that this goes the way of Gibbs-White, Henderson, Doyle and McAtee where the parent club benefits from the long-term and we gain little from the loan other than having the player for a season who we then need to replace next summer.

A new CB makes me happy. as much as i like robbo as a person, we were desperate for 1 performance wise. as the stats the proves between Goals conceded per game between Souttar/Anel & Robbo/Anel. we all know how much the new owners love stats.

all he has to be is more consistently good than robinson & ill be happy. as always the all new signings talk the talk but we'll find out if they can walk the walk

Not fully satisfied, we need permanent signings as CB not loans, but it begins to address a glaring area of weakness in the squad.

Can't or playing it wisely? Not saying he's crap, but you never know, at his age, the step up might not go smoothly. There's a reason his parent club aren't keeping him in house.

FWIW, he looks the business, based on the View From, but there's no guarantees in football.

Happy with this. I’d still point out we haven’t made a permanent signing of a first team center back since the 104 season.

Our only remotely palatable permanent centre back currently has 1 year left on his deal.

Still incredibly early in the transfer window but there needs to be a building of the spine of the team for the long term

I know people will find issues with the colour, neck, sleeves etc etc but if thats a training top, i like the look of it.

Very pleased with this one. Has a feel of the Dean Henderson loan about it. Young lad, unproven at this level, glowing endorsements from fans he previously played in front of.

If he can be even half as good for us as Hendo was, we'll have made a banging signing.
