Not necessarily, this deal might have been in the pipeline irrespective of whether Souza went or not.

My only concern is that this goes the way of Gibbs-White, Henderson, Doyle and McAtee where the parent club benefits from the long-term and we gain little from the loan other than having the player for a season who we then need to replace next summer.
Naturally I hope it does go that way and forest get a really great centre back from it a year down the line. But this feels like the right loan for everyone.

Not seen anything of him on the pitch but really exciting prospect from what you read from Reading. To say how mental it is there, they've churned out some really good talent over the last few years.

All for a bit of light hearted banter on a Friday night but this lad is genuinely getting shit already on social media from some of our own "fans" for absolutely no reason.

Some people seriously need to grow up or shut up.

Welcome to Bramall Lane lad, show us what you can do ⚔️

It is pretty crazy fans are being snobby about "league one players" when we have shown, and indeed Ipswich did too, that doesn't necessarily mean not good enough for the championship
Anyone old enough to remember pre-Wilder will recognise this for what it is. Then, there's a section of fans that think of you're not a household name, who's played in the PL, you're dog shit.

Emptiest vessels make the loudest noise and all that.

Not fully satisfied, we need permanent signings as CB not loans, but it begins to address a glaring area of weakness in the squad.
sometimes its helps if he's crap . i bet their are many that wish cannon was on loan

When a loan is being arranged, what you’ve got down as a concern is pretty much the hope of everyone involved if it works brilliantly. The player gains experience, development and success; the parent club gain an improving asset long-term; we gain promotion (as happened with Doyle, McAtee, Henderson - and Gibbs-White was the ‘width of a stud’ away, having got us to the play-off semi). It’s exactly what we’ll be hoping if we loan out a player like Faxon this season. It would be great if we didn’t need to loan players from premier league clubs, but the financial reality of being in the championship is that we need to make good use of this market.
My concern is more that he might be less like Doyle, McAtee and Henderson, and more like our other loan signings in the past that have turned out to be a bit crap, or got injured straight away, or never got selected.

Be interesting to see if Phillips still comes because that's a very young centre back partnership if so assuming Anel leaves.

Think he got player of the season last season at reading.
I don't think this signals Anel leaving. We only have Anel (reliable), Robinson (backup at best) and Baptiste (untested). We needed at least one or two more centre backs. One to keep JLT out of the team and another as backup until Baptiste gets up to speed.

Really like this signing.

Just disappointing it’s only a loan. Does this mean it won’t be Ashley Phillips?

I might not ever have been Ashley Phillips. This is silly season where we get linked to 20 players of which the majority we don't sign as they were never linked to us in the first place.

Just take each signing as they come.

Can't figure out if he's really posh or if it's just the accent.....

Oppo forward bearing down on goal with the ball. Bindon moves across.

Bindon: "I say old chap, would you mind awfully if I just nip that ball away from you?"
Oppo forward: "Huh???"
Bindon (legging it back upfield with the ball) "Oh that's splendid. Thank you so much, that's so kind of you. Toodle-pip old boy..."

Whats your thoughts on this Blades

Oh we've got Tyler Bindon
Bindon is a Blade
He pings the ball left and right
And keeps our defence Tight!

We've got Tyler Bindon
Playing in the Red and White
He knows for certain that
Sheffield Wednesdays SHITE!

There’s some proper whoppers on here acting like bellends.

I honestly don’t know why anyone uses twitter anymore. Just absolute plankton.

I binned it off earlier this year and haven’t missed anything about it. Did the same with Facebook nearly 10 years ago and thats genuinely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in life.

I love that Selles's first signing has such a Wilderesque feel to it. Lower division talent, manager's worked with him before. What's Spanish for "Tyler is a player we know all about"?

Looks a bit of a step up from Ricky Holmes, though.
