If he did, and assuming for a minute that Jags is one of them, are there/have there been any clues/rumours about who/whom the other/second one/player could be/is?

You have to treat Km as a politician. His words are always carefully chosen so they can be interpreted several ways.
Special signings means nothing. John Fleck was a special signing, and getting him a new longer term contract would be the best signing of the summer for me. It could be a loan player from the premier league or Europe....or the return of an ex player....and in the end if it's neither of those he can wait until the season starts and see which of the new players does well and claim he was referring to them as he was assured by Wilder they were gonna be stars.

If 'special' equates to costly, I'd plump for planning moves for Jagielka and Gregory this summer, although both obviously have their own challenges in being able to conclude deals.

Gregory won't be happening as far as I know. Wilder told him he couldn't afford him as 'he has no money' (his words), though that might've been his way of letting him down gently.

We spent money last season....I find it impossible to believe we have no money to spend this season considering all the hype around the Prince investment and the cuts of Maguire sale and impending Walker sale. Plus any fees we might gain from selling players we have on the transfer list.

More likely Millwall will want a few million for their player, and we won't pay it. Gregory is worth 350k tops.

I never said it was true, merely that it was Wilder's response to Gregory himself asking Wilder to 'make it happen'. This was just after the play-off final.

As I also said it could've just been Wilder's way of letting him down gently.

Yep, there will be a few getting the "told you so" comments ready now the seals been broken. Probably the same people who say we're signing Jags at twenty grand a week.
