The one in the first half where Fleck was Scougalled by their defender when he was about to shoot. Second half Billy dragged down about a yard inside the box unless my eyes were deceiving me, at least he gave the foul. Not convinced about theirs, sat in Westfield with a perfect view and he just seemed to fall over, although we didn’t seem to complain much. Fortunately these didn’t matter but still pissed me off, never seen us score more than 6.

100% penalty, Billy looked down at the line to make sure he was in the box before he went down😂.
Must say another second half master class of centre forward play from Billy. All we’ve been hearing on Skysports this week is the young players at Manchester United will learn a lot from Ronaldo, well ,Ronaldo would have learnt something from Billy if he had watched his second half performance.

Billy’s was debatable I can see why it wasn’t given as first contact happened outside the box even though billy didn’t go do until he was inside. Flecks was stone wall there’s was one of the most blatant dives I’ve seen in a while

The first one was a complete joke bang in line with us on John Street and Lino was bang in line and bottled it,

Problem is we will get this with the officials in the Championship they are piss poor.

What about the 2nd half Dembele poor pass to another player goes straight out. Not near a SUFC player within a million miles. Said Player picks ball up and throws it in and continues playing. Neither linesman or Referee brought play back - Egan/Baldock looking baffled and many others too.

First on Fleck if he dived then why didn’t he get a yellow card ( as their player did in the second half) penalty for me looked like his shirt was being pulled
Billy defo outside the box free kick was correct decision

For all our poor start to the season the officiating has been abysmal.

We should have had a blatant penalty for handball in the first game. How the hell that wasn't given I've no idea.

Yesterday it was a definite foul for Fleck and Billy was already in the box even if the player making the foul wasn't. Theirs was blatant simulation and should have been a booking.

The 4th West Brom goal should have been disallowed for a combination of a foul on the keeper and offside.

So that's 5 wrong decisions just in 3 games and cost us a point and potentially a 5 goal swing.

For all the talk of VAR, it doesn't miss such ridiculously obvious ones though the FA Cup one against Plymouth was another absolute belter!

Our 2 pen shouts are both on the 10 minute highlights. Fleck first half a definite penalty as he's dragged back just as he's going to shoot. Sharp second half, the first shirt pull is just outside the area, but Billy continues into the area (still attached to the Posh defender) then goes down. Not sure on the laws of the game here, but shouldn't the benefit go to the attacker? or is it first contact rule.

If you’re fouled outside the box and it’s play on, e.g. your shirt is being pulled but you’re running towards the goal so the ref waits to see if you get away, and your shirt is still being pulled when you get into the box, if the ref decides to blow it’s a penalty.

difficult to see on the Billy one but looks like contact is only outside the box to me, so free kick.

Fleck's was a definite pen.

Sharp's was much harder to call, as the initial drag was just outside of the box, but it sort of carried on in the box.

VAR would have given us at least one, but if either were given, we could have been comfortably in front earlier, and the game would have panned out differently.

Goals 3 - 6 were things of absolute beauty, and I wouldn't want anything to have stopped me seeing them.

Surely this is correct. If Foul starts outside box but Billy carries on and ref doesn’t blow because of advantage but the defender caries on pulling the shirt it is a continuing foul and should be given as a penalty. Different if there is just one contact outside box. Here ref may not blow immediately because of advantage but if no advantage he gives free kick outside box.
I thought ref had quite a good game allowing play to go but got all 3 penalty decisions wrong! It was also notable that Boro continually fouled and broke up our flow but none of fouls perhaps warranted a card. There should be something that allows ref to give a card for accumulation of fouls. There was also one occasion in first half where we were breaking and Ozzy (I think) was tripped. Not a bad foul but stopped us breaking so should have been a card.

We were right behind and you are correct it did start outside the box, although not sure I understand the rule lol UTB

What about if Ade Akinbiyi decides to give the defender a piggy back ride into the area?

I prefer to not get them in a 6-2 win as long as we get them when we do need them to be honest!

Something I’ve often wondered myself, a booking for a team’s cumulative fouls. It’s something they do in rugby and it works well I think.

They have it on an individual level but in that situation with Rugby although I agree it works well in Rugby, the referee has more of a rapport with the captain and the talking is done through him. Something that could also push out back chat and swarming around a referee.

There pen was mega soft. No way do they get that if the games in the balance. Think ref was feeling sorry for them at that point

For me I have watched it on a view occasions and it wasn't even soft never a penalty all he did was spin and fall on the ground should have been free kick and yellow card
