Two lists

I was a tad confused yesterday as to why we didn’t bring anyone in, but I have to say we’ve done some great business this window.
Not only have we held onto our star players in Hamer and Blaster, we’ve managed to make some really exciting signings in Cooper, Gilchrist, Burrows, O’Hare, JRS and Moore. On top of that with kept hold of Anel and Souza whilst adding depth with Shackleton, McCallum, Soutter and Campbell. This has been a great window I’m sure we’d all agree.
I honestly feel like we should’ve won all 3 of our opening fixtures if not for a small lack of team cohesion. I think we will be up there (with Wilder) challenging come Christmas, then with new owners in place we could all be having a very happy new year! UTB ⚔️

Right hang on.

You have sold your house and exchanged contracts but don't complete for another week. Are you going to put your hand in your pocket and buy a shiny new bathroom for the new owners for when they move in?
But it's a business being sold, not a house.
If a new bathroom is bought from company bank account for £5k before the sale then there will be £5k less in the account & an asset (the bathroom) worth £5k on the books.
Whether or not the new owner likes the new bathroom is another matter.

Or maybe we didn't put the money up, sorry but your theory about him holding hands with a few Stoke dudes don't wash. He wanted to come to the Lane, Wilder wanted him to come to the Lane. The rug was pulled, why?

Fuckin knows a few lads at Stoke, Jeez fella.
Genuine question but how do you actually know he wanted to come and wilder wanted him?

I'd assumed that the previous board are the decision makers. EFL would change this if there was a change in decision making/ownership

Since the Takeover news broke a few months ago we have had this two list scenario presented by Abdullah's and his minions.

All summer the Ramble dude, SUFC way, Girona accountant have constantly pumped out the info that the suitors list is more lucrative than Abdullah's list and the transfers to date are done by the previous incumbent.

So all the signings to date that we are happy with are down to Abdullah, I think we all agree the new build has produced a strong 11.

The takeover has in the past week gone through, the Abdullah minions have said the new owners are now in charge, so why has Wilder's targets to boost the squad in this window been quashed? He wanted 2 to 3 to give depth, Cannon and Johnstone just 2 names that made Sky Sports saying we had these deals in place.

So what's changed new owners? I have a feeling they are binning Wilder and that's why they blocked his deadline day plans.
It was a list from PA and a list from Chris with the New owners according to those on YouTube / twitter.

So your feelings seem incorrect.

Something changed yesterday wilder was adamant the other day 2 or 3 more signings we are woefully week up front

Cannons move to Stoke ! Think Leicester decided on Stoke due to much greater chance of more playingtime. First choice striker there as back up here.

you may well be right on that but we desperately needed another striker to come in we should have had an alternative to cannon lined up lack of goals could well cost us yet again

I think when you say 'minions' you actually mean 'lickspittles'

I think we are in limbo, yeah. The new owners are not in charge of transfers despite what people say because they're not allowed to be. My guess is we thought we'd sell Anel or Souza and had deals ready to go if they left. They didn't so we had no money to do anything significant because The Prince, understandably, wasn't going to put any money in and the new owners can't.
Seems a likely scenario

The players we've signed will still be good players whoever is in charge.

Been plenty on here calling for Wilders head after the QPR draw, and again after losing to the dingles in the week.

Personally I'm a bit meh about Wilder. Loved what he did the first time around, hated how he slunk out of the back door leaving us in the shit after believing his own publicity.

His reappointment made some difference (the away draw at Villa), but results didn't improve really and we were dreadful all season. If you want to talk about being set up, think Hecky.

If the new owners bin him, then so be it. The ball is in Wilders court to get us off to a flying start and make himself indispensible. I think we are a couple of players short, but if we don't get any injuries then this largely Wilders first choice of squad. A couple of reserves shouldn't make much difference. I haven't seen anyone on here not saying selling Trusty and shifting on Slimane wasn't good business.

The ball is firmly in CW's court. Let's see how good he really is.
Good post

Thank you Prince - well written

New job as a spin doctor? 🤣
That is my honest opinion though now I’ve had time to reflect. I’ve been absolutely buzzing at the signings of O’Hare, Rak, Burrows and Cooper. We’ve held onto Blaster and Hamer… we’re a strong team I’m feeling confident ⚔️

The handover hasn’t happened yet

Which the gives the new owner the potential to walk away as “ we had a legally binding agreement”

That's not how it works. Between the deal being signed and completed, there will be interim business conduct restrictions in place, which will state that any decisions that meet agreed criteria (usually agreement value and duration as a min, which would include player acquisitions and sales), would need to be agreed by both parties.
In your example of a new bathroom, if either party didn't approve, it wouldn't go ahead.

If someone is surplus to requirement elsewhere they could get a mutually terminated contract and we can get them as a 'free'. Not saying we will, but we could.

Not if they get released now, pretty sure anyone released after the transfer window closes cannot sign until January (they certainly won't be able to play for a new club), it's there to stop players from terminating their contracts to sign for new clubs.

If we are in Limbo how can any deal go through? Yet we sold Trusty. Who sanctioned that?

Limbo my arse, the new owners are in the building and will sack Wilder before the clocks go back. Why else would they scupper his targets?
Clocks go back ! Don’t tell me we haven’t paid all the instalments on them too !!
