Do we dare to dream next season there could be a two division gap ourselves and the truffle hunters. Our piggy neighbors making a determined dash for one of those relegation spots and the other teams seeming to finding a bit of form. As for our own quest for the premiership I think we’re only going to get better players returning from injury and Wilders reversion to back to basics tactics. Exciting times.

We will both be in the Championship. Saying that I would be more than happy with a 1 league gap in either way

I think we'll be both be in the same division, we'll be above them for at least 90 mins of the season. However all we will hear this summer is how they will finish above us, they'll smash us twice and we won't stand a chance IF they have a full strength squad. No one else has injuries or suspensions just them, so no one else is allowed to use it as an excuse.

It would be lovely, but I just can't see either division change happen.

I think Wednesday will flirt with the bottom 3 and we'll potentially sneak into the playoffs though.

Have to agree with this, much though it pains me. Somehow, despite barely scoring since about 1863, they seem to be maintaining a decent enough cushion, week on week, between the shit-strewn farmyard and the proper mire. There are at least 4 sides who look significantly more comical than our friends from Keystone Studios currently below them. We, on the other hand, look solid but a bit short.

Next season, however, may be a different barrel of pork entirely :)

Their form is absolutely rank since their new manager took over. Plus who could rule out another PR gaffe from Chainsiri and Meire before the end of the season. Certainly next years ST and matchday prices will be a hoot as they’re bound to go up again. :D

Interesting point. A full risk assessment should definitely factor in the as yet dormant Meire factor. She has been disappointingly low key so far.

Yesterday is a perfect example of why the pork will stay up. Stink the place out with anti football and score through incredibly fortunate means. Meanwhile, theyll be 3 or 4 other sides simply not good enough but wont get the luck.

Funnily enough, its exactly how they survived pre-money.

And while I’m waffling about the jammy bastards, last year they sat in 6th place for about 99% of the season despite being total gash because there was literally no chasing pack. This year, coz we’re in the race, realistically theres at least 5 of us going for the final 2 play off spots.

Can only mean the division is far stronger this year.

Am I the only person who wants them in the same league as us?

Derbies are a big part of what football’s about for me.

Whereas I would prefer it if we were in the top division giving it proper to the big boys with our attitude of total non conformity, whilst Wendy went bust and Hillsborough was turned into a shit factory.

The thing is whilst they are only keeping it solid and getting a point on the road (whilst getting beaten at Hog Station as they have to open up to teams to attack) they will slip quietly closer and closer to the relegation trap door.

Draws will kill you in the end if you don't win the odd few as well.

I'm hoping it will be like the season when we went down to the fourth in May 81. We were always safe and never in the relegation places....right up to 5 mins from the end when Walsall scored their penalty and we then added our own touch of drama by missing our last min penalty. Who's up for gutless Rhodes missing a last minute penalty to send em down....a man can dream.

It would be very nice indeed, though Id settle for just the one division gap ( preferable us up) in their anniversary year. :D

I'd rather they were in the league below us or the league below that. Derbies are horrible games, particularly against such rivals as the pigs who claim a 0-0 result as a victory. If you have magnanimous rivals who hold their hands up when you spank them 4-2 with a bunch of players who by their own admission they've never heard of it's ok, but when they are thick as shit and not willing to accept that despite Carlos's magic trick a £20 note is not still a £20 note once you've twatted it a few times in the same way that a team that cost £35m is not still worth £35m if they are shit you literally cannot win.
