I run a lot of Blades related Twitter Polls but the results of this were particularly interesting. I will start to post all results on this thread... #sufc #twitterblades

Thoughts?

Apparently it 'can't happen'. I'd love to know why.

I'm not sure why this is particularly interesting. You could do a twitter poll asking if we would like Kyle Walker back instead of Brayford and we know what the result would be

Apparently it 'can't happen'. I'd love to know why.

Evans is trying to sue the club and Wilder isn't altogether pleased about it. That's probably a good reason why.

I would have thought, those that are interested in the insane ramblings of the Twatter community, will already have read it, and those of us who avoid it like a prozzie with the clap, don't give a fuck what that set of knob jockey's think.
Other than that, knock yourself out.

To be fair it would be more productive for him to knock one out instead :D

Load of bollocks evans is trying to sue the club anyone who believes that will also believe in Santa, The easter bunny, the tooth fairy etc

If true then he's a twat and that would be a good reason.

But I think it's more likely that this is the rumour the club have let slip out, the real reason being something else.

So go on then champ, what's he suing for?

Wrongful dismissal?
Defamation of character?
Burns caused by hot tea?

Genuinely interested

I've no idea, 'champ'. I can't see what he could sue us for and I would be interested to find out myself.

I should probably add that this was all happening back in November so might have already been settled.

I didn't say he was still telling everyone, he was in November

Thanks for the excellent input. I don't care either way if you believe me or not. As i've said above, I can't see what grounds he's got to even try suing us. I've also said it might have already been settled

The Mirror or Mail ran the story weeks ago. From an Evans perspective, not the clubs.

Perhaps we didn't send him a cake with a file in it on his birthdays in prison.

Maybe it's me but didn't he get himself locked up and therefore made himself unavailable ?

Complete tosh.

Wildly guessing here, but I can imagine the only possible grounds would be when his return first came out, that some sort of contract was offered, and we "went back" on it when we changed our mind?

But like I said, pure guess on my part.

Think he's got a fucking brass neck myself if it is / was true.

Ched was a fantastic player for us, no disputing it. The past is the past though, and we have all moved on. I think it's best left there. Not really sure why the local media and some people are obsessed with the idea he may come back. I think in reality that's never going to happen

Think that is very close to the truth mate

Agree mate, there are posters on here who are resolute in their belief that Evans will be the difference between promotion or stagnation. They seem to ignore the fact that we're top of this division for as reason, and that reason doesn't include a certain welsh player. The page has turned, we've moved on, the few posters who still consider Evans as 'essential' need to turn the page and join the rest of us.

Why would we want to know the views of a load of spotty kids and da yoof in general, especially when restricted to 140 characters?

You have as much right to post on here as me, but please don't try to pretend that this 'trending' garbage is real news or is giving us some deep insightful understanding.

You can perhaps see from the above replies how well received your Evans poll has been.

What next?
'McCabe in or out'
'Do we like Wendy'
'Is the Pope a catholic'

Trouble is someone I know who knows Wilder told me in November he was deffo coming back in January.

I was reticent to believe it although he does know him fairly well. Likewise I'm reticent to believe this litigation stuff.

Assuming there is some truth it sounds particularly disappointing on his part, all things considered.

I would be amazed if there was even a shred of truth in this. When CE was supposed to come back and train, Jim Phipps was still around, and was involved. Jim Phipps, is a lawyer of 20 years standing, I cannot believe for one minute that he didn't "dot the i's and cross the t's" on any and all paperwork, at all times, related to this, or any other matter that he was putting his (and the Prince's) name to.

If we are offloading Clarke or McNulty then we should certainly look at signing Evans.

Very nearly spot on ' The Crab '

It's actually breach of agreement .

Wilder isn't pissed off about it at all , he just doesn't want him .
