Anybody any idea if there's any old TV footage of blades v bournemouth I think,when Tomlinson made his debut in goal and saved a pen in front of Kop,4-0 I think think Edwards might have had an hat trick aswell....can remember ball boying that game but just wanted to see the goals again..cheers lads an lasses.

Paul Tomlinson or Tommo was a weird one.
At times I thought he was a good keeper. He used to pull off some brilliant reflex saves

BUT often struggled with the basics.
And he was always prone to the occasional blunder.

I once scored a penalty against Tomlinson at a Blades open day. It was in 5 a side nets as well. I was watching fan after fan failing to score against him, payed my 50p stepped up top left corner, he guessed the right way but beat him with the pace of my pen.
He didn't look to impressed.

I dread to think what the hell would happen next time I find myself hidden under the stairs in a hostage situation and I tried to text the Police? With that in mind, why does it bleep when I turn it to 'silent' mode? It's a nightmare waiting not to happen.


pulling it back to goalie talk, Keith Waugh was a great 'keeper from the 80s but he used to flap a lot at crosses in the end Dave Bassett seemed to be brilliant at signing goalies, Tracey, Kelly and the late Mel Rees were probably our best players when they were in the team. (Remember Rees at Everton that time?)
