You did miss quite a few chances for innuendo near the end, must be changed men.

DB even said "Mcburnie came inside his man" absolute tap in missed.

I’m (just about) self-aware enough to know when I’ve been doing it too much and therefore when to pull out or not stick it in.

The Bettis impressions have got worse! 😂

Wait Deadbat / Webding is Adkins in every Photoshop??? Like Cilla in Cold war Steve posts?

I couldn’t possibly comment…though if you wanted to check, I hear that if you’re looking for a place to start, you can’t beat a bit of Bully/Billy…

Cheers for the pod, fellas, as ever. Essential listening for this Japan-based Blade.

If you’re struggling with surreptitious drinking on Wembley Way, something like these sleeves might be decent.

Our local beach went alcohol-free during COVID times, even employing “beer police” to patrol the beach, but the sleeves sorted me out nicely. They’re an absolute fooker to get off, though.

Also, the McBurnie sport is “padel tennis”, which I think is also called pickleball, and the place he talks about is here: https://www.surgepadel.co.uk/

Cheers again.

Superb fact-checking and suggestions, many thanks. 15 quid though? Tempted to risk the fine.

Where in Japan are you?

Haha. Yeah, fair point. Kept me sane during COVID, so was well worth it, but for a one off, probably not.

Dunno if you know Japan much, but I work in Tokyo, in a part called Shibuya. Live about an hour south of Tokyo, in Kanagawa near the sea. Not met many Blades over here, but there’s two or three of us that will occasionally meet up for a game, “Basham’s arriving” being the favorite!

Yeah, Japan’s ace and I know it a little bit - went for 17 days on our honeymoon and would love to go back. Briefly visited Shibuya for the crossing, Tower Records and a bit of pachinko… and I’m sure it was Kanagawa we considered for an alternative daytrip when it looked like Fuji-San was likely to hide in the clouds the entire time we were in Tokyo. It came good in the end though.

Worth listening to for Deadbat’s pronunciation of restaurants

He’s always done it and I can’t help but repeat it every time (as on the pod). His pronunciation of ‘Las Ramblas’ also has to be heard to be believed. The nights we looked for food in Barcelona provided our group of mates with endless fun.

Good pod, must admit the Wembley queuing and concourse experience was spot on for us. Quiet bogs, quiet bars and tables to sit around to drink beer, friendly stewards and an escalator up to the concourse.

Club Wembley was it, Mr Rothschild?

Record the Rock n Goal Years you've got lined up - the last one was good and it would be nice to reminisce about United at the birth of Indie Sleaze.
