It's also a game in hand, and we need to win, and if Wendy get 6 points for a win, why can't we!!!???

Let's turn this into a really important must win game and start booing after 15 minutes if we're not 1 nil up.

Get the pressure ratcheted up, negativity always works

Wilder has asked the fans to support the players as they’re knackered, need a lift and it’s a massive game for us. I predict Burton parking the bus and a “pin drop” atmosphere from about 30 seconds in. Gerrittforward from 10 minutes in. If it’s 0-0 at 60 minutes, full blown meltdown. Shoutbox in absolute tatters for the full 90 minutes. ;):D:eek::oops:

That will get the crowd warmed up nicely for an evening good quality booing.
That would require the crowd to open their mouths and make noise, which doesn't happen at our home games anymore, so he has nothing to worry about.

I'm making sure my 'phone is fully charged so l can put the light on on 60mins in a show of solidarity.

Every game left for Burton assumes epic importance. After their 0-0 draw at home to Bristol City yesterday, next up for them are - Blades (A), Wolves (A), Cardiff (A) and Middlesbrough (H). Games against their relegation rivals include Birmingham (A), Hull (H), Sunderland (A) and Bolton (H). Plus the small matter of a home game v. near-rivals Derby County on April 14. Looking at that little lot, I'd assume Burton are looking at this Tuesday's match as a 'much win'.

And - right on cue - Brewers' player Damien McCrory has said (re. yesterday's draw v. Bristol City):

“It is frustrating but as long as we are creating them, something is going to click at some point, and I feel that the performance when we score three or four goals is not long away.”

With those fixtures remaining, I really can't see any possibility of Burton staying up, regardless of how they perform against us. That looks like a very difficult run in.

Only 1 team has scored less than Burton; only 1 team has conceded more. If we are at all serious about getting into the top 6 this is a must win. Unfortunately, I think Clough will frustrate us with a 10-0-0 formation and probably nick a winner on the break.

He'll try

I don't care about winning this game because we might make the playoffs. I care about winning because i'm a blade and I want us to win every game. If we finish 9th at the end of the season I will consider that a very succesfull season back, missing the playoffs doesn't bother me much I've been to too many play off finals and watched us lose. Could it be different this time? Yes of course it could but my head tells me there are at least 4 teams up there that are just plain better than us. Even if as many hope. the miracle happens and we went up the money we would make doesn't make up for watching a team that would need completely rebuilding to survive. If we are bottom at Christmas does Wilder survive? for me yes, but I won't be the one making that decision. 100 million pounds yes please but how much would be left at the end of the season. I think 4 possibly 5 of the current squad might make the step up. The Bassett side had Deane and Agana 2 genuine premier quality strikers, the top flight is unrecognizable to what it was then. I hope we win the playoffs I hope we go up Ihope we flourish in the premier league I hope the sea is as blue as it is in my dreams. My fear is that if we aren't ready, and we are nowhere near, the dream could turn into a nightmare. Is this negative yes, is it cowardly probably. I make no apologies so many fans are saying go up take the money if we get relegated we will then be in a position to bounce back stronger, I know where they're coming from I would love them to be right. My first United game was 1970 I dream of happy endings I don't expect them.
