What happened after their third in the technical area? It looked from the Westfield as though one of our brain dead idiots went for their bench? Hope he's happy with the inevitable stadium ban coming his way...could also lead to yet another fine!

Stewards appeared to completely lose control of the away end last night and it could have turned nasty, no doubt though there was some fisticuffs outside afterwards...

I did laugh though when one Blade ran out of H block, Stewards didn't see him and he could have had a clean run at Leeds.....only for him to realise this, check his run and "accidently" bump into the nearest steward so he could be grabbed as he bounced about a bit.... 🤣

He's been a season ticket holder for a few years now. Don't think we'll be seeing him anytime soon 🤣

I saw the H-Block guy, the biggest “hold me back lads!!!” you’ll ever witness 🤣

I half saw both of those from the Kop end of the South Stand & had to chuckle at the H-Block escapee.
For seemingly years though, the away fans have taken the piss of how easy it is to get onto the perimeter of the pitch. Surely something can be & should be done about it.
The stewards seem to stand in the corners & only run out after folk start spilling over, by when it’s too late really. Maybe they should be deployed throughout the game?

There was another unusual event on Shoreham St after the 3rd goal went in. It all kicked off around a VW Transporter at the corner with Cherry St - lots of shouting & shoving & someone said a bloke was trying to pinch the van but don’t know if thats’s right. Seemed rather odd as imagining was all Blades fans 🤷🏻

Away fans have been allowed to take the piss for years.

The poor pay of stewards gets trotted out which is fine if you're employing the wrong people.

Whilst it happens at some grounds, many wouldn't allow the piss-taking that happens at the Lane. It was only a couple of years ago we had away fans wandering around the 18 yard box unchallenged.

Also surprised at the lack of control outside afterwards. Saw two Leeds get chinned and one Leeds fan deserves his kid taking off him either by his other half or Social Services.

Not sure, with the new stewards. Lots of pretty big (Nigerian?) blokes, seems pretty imposing. A far cry from the 5 ft , 6 stone lasses who had to block people before.
Agree away end often gets advert jumpers. But nothing to sweat about.

We were in BLUT. Before the match there was a supervisor giving 5 stewards instructions on how to handle the queues at the Food Stands. He was having to tell them several times and they looked clueless. They were told if one food stand has no queue then advise people to move there to even out the queues. This is an hour before the match started. One steward told this woman as she was walking past to go to the next stand as there was no queue she said "why do I have to go there my husband is already stood in the queue over there". It was quite funny.

After the first Leeds goal their fans went mental. One fan ran forward pushed over a photographer then as a steward came to get him the Leeds fan punched him and then 3 stewards just jumped on the fan took him away. We saw several took away. Same thing happened at the 2nd goal apart from one fan went upto a steward hugged and kissed him and he got took away and there was some trouble down the Leeds end where it meets the Westfield Stand. Third goal they just went totally mental again.
As we left at FT there were 5 more lined up against the wall being filmed and then took away.

I've seen a few clips today & what is going on at the corner of Bramall Lane / South stand is a piss take. It would not have taken a lot for that to have escalated onto the pitch. I've always thought that away fans in the Upper Tiers is far better in regard to crowd control as I've seen this before - particularly if stewards are poor / weak - which frankly ours are (but then again the pay for that job is pants!). Not much we can do about that - let's hope 'Crowd Control' authorities do not get involved and shutdown 3000 seats for a couple of seasons as they did a few years ago. (I still cannot work out why we got more heavily penalised than a lot of other clubs in that respect).

Loads of time for the new stewards on the Westfield Corner; always got a smile on their face and say "hope you win!" and things like that. No idea how they'd react if it all got on top, mind.

Still dont understand why they took the nets away over the bottom tier because a few (plastic) bottles were thrown down at the Leeds fans.

I wonder what other Blades games the Leeds fans in the BLUT had attended to amass 650 points.....🤔
Was a few up there, couple behind us and three foreigners( think they were Israeli) supporting Leeds, they never moved when we scored and could tell by there little quiet conversations, they never cheered when they scored though so all perfectly fine with me, watching a game of football in another teams stand as long as you don't act a prick is absolutely fine, be a few blades in the qpr end on Saturday by the looks of it just off this forum alone. As for the complete cunt of a leeds fan who ran down giving it two fingers to everyone jumping up and down , there the ones who are utter cunts, saw him running to the police outside getting chased out the stadium the ****.

Leeds fans invented the trend of "limbs" in the away end with the way they celebrate goals.

It seems their players and staff have bought into this feral way of celebrating.
I think about 15 of their players were behind the hoardings and hugging fans after the 3rd. How come players aren't booked for going past the hoardings anymore? It was a bookable offence for inciting potential trouble and causing injuries due to the surge

Also... Leeds are twats!

When the third went in, their subs were celebrating with players on the pitch. Wasn’t that what Farke got his touchline ban for, encroaching on the pitch? No cards last night or is it different for subs?

I sit right in the bottom corner of H, so saw it all.

As others have said, it happens regularly that away fans get pitch side with ease. Surprising given how we are meant to be so bothered about fan safety…That said I don’t really blame the stewards, they don’t have the numbers to really deal with it. Needs to be more on for the bigger games or the old bill like was the case in years gone by.

For their second there was loads of their lot in the corner. One came really close to bottom of H, before retreating. I saw loads of stuff being thrown in the direction from behind me and from the Westfield.

A group of Blades made their way down to the pitch side to try and get at the Leeds fans, but not many (8-10ish?). The stewards held them back.

The bit about someone making their way towards the Leeds bench is false. It was one of their coaches that ran down to the subs warming up. He came down to tell them to move as the small group of Blades got pitch side.

The most annoying bit was the specky kid who climbed on the scaffolding at the corner of the lower tier. Absolutely zero attempt to get him down or do anything about it. He was up there a good few minutes before voluntarily climbing down.

Overall, a shit show and it could have very easily escalated.

By contrast I got told off for putting my foot on the metal frame of the (empty) seat in front.

The whole thing about football hooliganism in the seventies was that it started small (it's only 1 on the pitch, it doesn't matter), grew (it's only a dozen, it doesn't matter), grew (1,000 people on the pitch but it was a very exciting goal), and became unstoppable. They needed to nip it in the bud early.

Same today. Leeds have evidently decided that if they are happy they can run into the crowd and the crowd can run onto the pitch. (It would be Leeds, of course.) The FA / League can take action - point one, make it a rule that the players on the pitch do not leave the pitch to celebrate; point two, the players and staff of the pitch do not come on. Easy to do, bookings all round (including retrospective bookings). Point two, that will make it easier to stop the fans coming on. When it happens, arrest a few and dish out life bans - the rest will learn.

Players stay on the pitch and subs/staff stay off the pitch. It couldn't be simpler to understand - could it???

Thought this myself. My mate said he'd heard rumours on social media circulating of Leeds fans in our end. Wondered how it was possible... then after the second went it it became clear there were a few in BLUT.

Surprised that clown didn't get something hard launched at him from close range from the second tier. He was accosted when he got down though and was escorted out quite aggressively by about 5 stewards.

Hope he got a kicking aswell.

It's not. There was a United fan pinned down in the technical area.
There was pushing shoving and grappling before he was eventually pinned down and led out by stewards.

You get to know the same faces but there were definitely some "strangers" around our ST seats in the Westfield corner last night, no trouble though in our immediate vicinity.

My mate (Leeds fan) was in the BLUT. Only found out after. Shame I didn't know before or I'd have circulated his photo so someone could wind him up.

This definitely happened, he was lead out in between the away end and H Block, watched it from the Westfield.
