Sorry if this has already been posted, but did anyone see the div piggies going along Shorham Street about 10 mins before kick off? And the police miles behind them?

heard bout it. Dicks. Wendy fans spouting about blades attacking a pig woman and her son

A random bloke took a beating too by about 8 of them on him, didn't look very nice at all :(

Helicopter was there but police on foot were a good distance back and as always arrived too late. I don't understand how they even got that far with being escorted was about 50 of them.

Typical Wendy scum. Have a go at women & kids at a chippy then nowhere to be seen after the game. Just had a text from a mate in town & told no Pigs to be seen since the match finished.

We'd just got inside the John Street so missed it.

I did see one brave soul about 8.30am driving past and gingerly sticking the rods up at the back of the Kop... sped up and disappeared when he clocked me staring and shaking my head :)

They bottled meeting up with the BBC and attacked normal Blades fans.

Probably 40 of them at best. Some old guys and teenagers had a pop back but there was only a handful of them. Wendy were picking on passers-by and giving it the big un.

I was surprised they managed to take the piss along there but in reality, if they wanted trouble genuinely they could have found it area London Rd or up West Street.

The Police Commander is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. How on earth can 40 people go unchecked for so long?!?! Do they think that is effective and responsive policing. Laughable. Putting up false walls and people just walked fucking round them.

Typical pigs, a fucking joke the lot of em. Didn't see it but heard they were giving it some to the kids, women and shirters 10 minutes before KO but soon ran like frightened rabbits when more Blades appeared. Fucking cowardly scum, I would have loved to have slapped one or two of the cowardly fuckers. Absolutely ZERO pigs in town tonight. Many Blades but like the song says, 'No pig fans in town...' Fucking yellow livered set of c**nts they are.

Was just walking up the kop steps about ten minutes to kick off and heard alot of shouting directly over the wall where the bar is at the bottom of the kop, we all thought it was a pigs coach going by with all the noise. However about 30 -40 pigs ( owls cock squad ) ran into women children and old men ( all shirters ) they ran at normal fans ( probably a great result for them ).
All the Blades fans had to run for cover into the cafe etc as the cowardly bastards waded in throwing chairs etc. Everyone on the kop looking down was going mental as we couldn't get out to help. All the pigs were bouncing about as they retreated waving at the fans on the kop as though they'd just beaten up about 50 BBC and in reality hit innocent shirters.
Plod turned up about 5 mins after they'd gone.

My brother got caught up in this and was really shook up when he arrived in the ground. I immediately tweeted about it and got a response straight back from an Inspector Jayne Forrest who I assume was monitoring social networks. It said "No information about this. Helicopter reports all quiet"

How can all these witnesses be wrong??!

Sadly I have heard of a Blade being attacked in a pub and a Wendy supporting mate and his brother (not the sort to want trouble) were set on by a group of Blades in town. All very sad.

I was stood on the corner of John Street / Shoreham Street when this happened, and it's like others said - around 40 "Pig firm" giving it the big un, with virtually all blades in the ground. Scum. Picking on families - I gave the police a right earful as they turned up 5 mins late.....

Given the cost of the police operation to the tax payer and the amount paid out in overtime etc - I'm guessing well into 6 figures overall - then someone should be held to account for this by our local politicians or media. However I suspect it will be swept under the carpet.

It is outrageous that there was not a single copper outside kop on Shoreham Street given the resources that SYP had at their disposal.

Even if the sight of a couple of coppers doesn't stop 40 cowards and idiots (though it sometimes does) it does mean they can quickly communicate for reinforcements and later arrest those repsonsible.

Are the police scared? Are they restricted by safety guidelines? They only seem to police in large groups these days. They used to stand in ones and twos on street corners around the ground.

I was walking along Cherry Street towards the Kop when I saw the Piggies (as other have said around 40-50) coming along with a huge number of Blades giving them an escort....

There were two coppers inbetween the two groups and I didn't know what had gone off on Shoreham St, which explains the anger of the Blades behind.

A few Blades fans looked to have a go at the piggies (i believe the books would call this "steaming in"), which sparked the two coppers swinging batons and was quickly followed by two coppers on horseback tearing along from Bramall lane and about 20 coppers bringing up the rear from Shoreham.

I didn't see the background to this, but having seen "ring of steel" Police cordons set up on all side streets leading to Bramall lane, it looked like the Police adopted a lazy approach and allowed these idiots to get in amongst the Blades fans.

It seems that the Police Strategy was to Protect Wednesday fans, but gave little regard for offering the same level of protection to Blades fans and their families.

I was quick enough to realise who these guys were when they were coming towards me, so I go out of their way, but others walked through this group and got a little suprise and quickly got out of the way.

In general yesterday, there was a serious number of big hitters around, but in my opinion, the police took an extremely over the top approach with the cordon on Bramall lane. Segregating fans in this way does nothing to improve the integration of fans, it ensures that those intent on causing bother just find it elsewhere.

I did enjoy the atmosphere yesterday and makes me realise how much I love and hate the derbies, but they make it worth being a Blade, it was tense, it was verging on nasty and there was an edge which makes you think it could kick off at any moment. Both on and off the pitch

The smack head who organised the Wendy mob on Sunday didn't fancy truning up where there would be any serious lads or opposition so decided to meet out of the way and walk that route and attack shirts, they are the biggest set of cocks you will ever witness as a so-called firm.

This must be the firm we came across at corner of Lane and Cherry St ,they were well covered by SY finest by then ,the few Blades milling around the turnstiles offered it to them but they refused the chance of a dance ,went scuttling behind the steel barriers and then made a load of row when they felt safe .Mist Blades were more mad at plod who seemed to have fecked up despite all the barriers stopping Blades and apparently giving this shits the freedom of the city

Not to mention the fact that one wanker tried to spit at me after the match, when i was walking through the underpass up towards the Scholar after the match, he was that clever he missed.

Apart from that i didn't see any trouble, and i was out from 9am until midnight on a all day drinkathon. I was hammered before the match as i was topping up from the night before the match, and then went out and drank all day, being that pissed i even fell asleep stood up in the Scholar!

wendy will be shitting themsens in the return fixture. If they think their little sortie on shirts, kids and women scares anyone, think again.don't advocate violence to awards any human being, but then wendy aint humans there little pigglets.let the slaughter begin.[love abit of pork scratchin].

The Blades have a lot more class than the swine - a hell of a lot more. There will be no like for like reprisals on wendy shirters, women and kids but those further up the food chain should expect a visit.
