Portuguese custard tarts - very nice sold in Co'op down south.

Pastel Da Nata, bloody love 'em. Great with a strong coffee.

Sainsburys do them, and Debenhams Restuarant. Also a place in Moor Market too.

not seen them in Sainsbury's down here and the good lady works part time there, so might get her on point to get someone to order them in.

We have to keep him there as long as possible, I don't know a single one of them who wants him anymore, they can see that they have a great set of players who are being held back by him and if he doesn't get the expected 10-0 against us he will be under pressure, remember we're a pub team..;)

his approach will be very European and like that fiool robson he will not think of it as a big derby game, he will be blasé about it and set up for a normal game, we on the other hand have a manager who lived it all his life and knows what it means to every blade walking the earth....

Said it years ago when we went up with Bassett, beat them at the lane and stop up, anything else is a bonus, but I can't help thinking we have better odds with "clueless" in charge of them lot...

You usually have to get there early to stand a chance, Hillsborough Sainsburys are the most convenient for me. Not tried to make any yet but the recipe doesn't look too hard. Essentially its just made with flaky pastry instead of the shortcrust you get with our custards,

They seem lighter than ours because of the flaky pastry, and I do like a normal custard too.

They do seem lighter. As I say I love them, but the flaky pastry can be a bit of a pain, I have bridge work from when I got kicked in the face at football many years ago so the flaky stuff can be hard work!

although not so good for the inches to my ever growing middle.

That's the last of my worries these days! I had to chuckle at the posts about these tarts as I bought a bagful from Manc only on Saturday. I'll have to look out for them in the Moor Market though as Crabby suggests, save me a train fare.

Do we have to counter the record breaking cake by creating a custard the size of the centre circle. ??

Yeah lets go for it, we can get Dean Hammond to make it, his unseen work will ensure nobody else tries to steal the idea as he'll be well under the radar...

Are all the treads going sideways these days..btw ?

Can't remember exactly where Snoots, but is only a small stall sort of in the middle of the market, you'll see them when you are passing them mate :)

Cheers, I'll have a look next time I go to the pork pie stall. It'll be a cholesterol overload that day!

If dubious grammar produces culinary discoveries, i won't complain. I'm starving. I'm going to abuse the vending machine.

I think its one of the things I love about S24SU, it can start about one thing and you end up at something like custard tarts, I think coaxingstar71 said the same thing, can be a very random place at times, but I do love that it is like that :)[/QUOTE]

At least he might be able to get the band playing in tune.
Even Jesus couldn't work that miracle. Water into wine, world's biggest buffet from a bit of bread and fish, getting cripples walking all fair enough. But getting that motley collection of tone-deaf fucknuggets in tune is a step too far. You'll hear better music from someone stuffing a donkey into a washing machine and shoving it down a metal fire escape.

Apparently all is not well up in scruffs Ville, a young lad who supports the dark side but used to be in the United youth set up has been speaking to someone on the inside and he says that Fernando and whinall had a huge fight which I think is common knowledge , whinall was a bully around camp and had been giving the young lad hirst and a a lot of the young lads lots of stick and being a nasty twat , Fernando is desperate to leave and so is Rhodes , and apparently Carlos doesn't have the backing of any of the players and they all want him out .what a shame

All of that makes for grim reading if you're a pig and cause of optimism if you're a Blade.

But in all seriousness, how can this wet lettuce bully anyone?

Sam-Winnall-Scunthorpe_3100034.jpg

Look at the sheer state of him. What a turnip.
