Pre-match in Browns.
I pulled a Wheely (500 honda) and lost it on the mountain at cadwell circuit (look on YouTube) and was looking at £200 of damage to repair it until I got a reward to keep my gob shutI was keeping up with this up until the bit about the bike.
Has he always been such a whinge arse?I don’t often post on here (not since United didn’t start the SUTV for Watford for 10 mins at 2 int morning) but I’m a long standing member and just thought I’d clear something up.
I worked with Craig for 2 years about 10 years ago and he is a really really nice bloke! Former international swimmer, then swimming coach, then senior manager in manufacturing before having a stroke. He now runs a stroke recovery charity and has two daughters who are seriously good at sport (like national level rugby and netball).
Having been excited to see my mate post on Facebook that he was heading there then I reached out to say “hello, good luck, etc”. Then was really saddened this morning when I’ve just woken up and seen all this.
So FACTS (understanding that facts are only facts if you capitalise)…
1) he drove from near Liverpool/Cheshire sort of way, so won’t have been “tanked up”
2) I highly doubt he then met up with a large group of landaners to terrorise the locals
3) before moving to Sydney, I went all across the county alone with my dad to watch United (similar age), so again… I am highly dubious this was due to “gobbling off”. We tended to get in, watch match, get out
4) he’s very active on social media, but that’s generally because he runs a charity and has an extremely active family, therefore it’s second nature to post stuff. Some of it makes me cringe, but who am I to judge?
So, I call BS on at least 2 of the “first hand” accounts on here, and wish people would think a little before turning a shameful (but pretty ubiquitous) event into an opportunity to pick on people’s looks, posting history, motivation, etc. with absolutely no context or thought. Yes, he’s a bit moralistic (actually because he’s a nice fair bloke) and yes a bit misguided (if he thinks exactly the shame doesn’t happen round WHL/TS)… but he is a good man.
Anyways, UTB from oz! Better do some work as it’s another early start Sunday morning for Blackburn![]()
You have mate.fosters/heavy stuff bit...maybe I'm missing irony?![]()
I don't believe that mouthing off is a reasonable grounds for a punch, as it is only words, after all.' Ban'oh' as the Cockneys call it.Lucky he didn’t get a kidney punch.
Joking aside it’s not nice to see. That said, we have no idea if he was mouthing off and deserved it (doubtful looking at him, but we don’t know the full story).
Also seems like he tweets every detail of his life, the weird egghead. The only people.I would be contacting if my dad had been attacked would be the rozzers. More to this than meets the eye IMO. Strange as he doesnt provide details about what happened, then tweets about some blades suggesting he is making it up. Give some description of what happened, how it started, who hit yer dad...Also no sign of him tweeting syp. Also see rob staton has tweeted him. Funny a journo is doing that given the lack of info so far.Has he always been such a whinge arse?
Iv got every sympathy for him and his dad but the histrionics are embarrassing, coming across like a bitch to me.Also seems like he tweets every detail of his life, the weird egghead. The one we need is the one from the 1902 FA Cup final. We've got a Priest on standby.
Anyone who went to the game at Tottenham in the prem will know blades got attacked by spurs fans outside a pub where the coaches were parked. I am slightly younger than this guy but we were followed and intimidated after the trouble all the way to the tube station. Didn't feel like approaching Tottenham fc or putting my mug on twitter though.
Bit of proactive police work in evidence. But then, it's just a bunch of football louts......Sorry to see this. I hope he’s ok. I was walking past and saw him sat down, some people were looking after him. A group of people were holding on to what looked like a drugged up black guy. Hope they got him. Police were in their van further down the road but were oblivious. I just wanted to stay out of trouble and got out of the way.
He hasnt said anything mate. Funny cos surely he would be contacting syp (they can be tweeted) and give descriptions and explain what happened. Sounds dodgy to me.If this guy is innocent then the knobs that did it need locking up and banned for life. Bang out of order. Hope he's ok and recovers soon.
Has this Craig actually described what happened and in what context/situation? It's all very vague from what I can see. I'm not saying he's made it up, but him just saying 'thanks SUFC' is a bit odd.
If he said 'we were walking back to the car minding our own business and this group of Blades jumped us without provocation'.....
If he's already said this then apologies that I've not seen it.
I expect that the full story will come out soon enough.
This reads like one of those messages on facebook when someone has been a shit and their mate tweets 'it wont im ees a good lad'I don’t often post on here (not since United didn’t start the SUTV for Watford for 10 mins at 2 int morning) but I’m a long standing member and just thought I’d clear something up.

After the Blackpool game in December. We were walking between pubs, 4 of us, we then heard a bit of shouting/chanting down a side street, naturally it made us all look down the street to see what the commotion was. There was a group of young lads bouncing about.I was at that game with my Grandson who was 15 at the time, I was 66, we were walking towards the tube,,just talking about the game, for no reason 5 lads would say in the early 20s, one of them said to my Grandson you from Sheffield, he said, Eh, next thing he was punched for no reason, I obviously got involved pushing them away, and got caught with a couple of punches, then the lads after probably no more than a few seconds just buggered off. No real damage done, other than Grandson had a bit of a bloody nose and was shook up.
However unfortunately every club has there idiots, it’s not just us……… but we dusted ourselves down and got on with it, didn’t go crying to social media
Normally I would be there about then as our bus picks up at the Roebuck, but SCC have changed our thinking and Farm Rd clubs gain is the Red Lions and Roebucks loss.Given that’s happened on Eyre street straight after the match you’d expect a shed load of witnesses and you’d assume it’s also well covered by CCTV from a bunch of the businesses along there.
Odd place to hang around looking to cause trouble with random pensioners.

All of a sudden one of these lads clocks us 4 about 200yrds away and starts shouting at us - "oy! What you looking at pricks. Come here you fucking cunts" etc. etc. Arms out by his side inviting us down whilst walking towards us.
1 of my mates shouted sumat back like "shut up, fuckin idiot", which appeared to make him angrier and so he started walking a bit faster towards us, still offering us down the street for what I assume wasn't just a friendly chat.
We eventually decided that we put our heads down and get in the nearest pub we see. We're too old to be going away for a night and getting a scrap FFS...
But, my point is. It was totally unprovoked. Just some lads tanked up, looking for a scrap.
Accent wise... defo sounded more Yorkshire than Lancashire. But can't have been united fans as we're all good little boys
He would have been very small1 mile away from ground
perspective
Its the shit flinging at the club that irks me. Absolutely nothing to do with them. While I 100% believe he was assaulted, there are a few things that don't add up.
Despite hundreds/thousands of replies, I've not seen anyone confirming they witnessed it, or anyone that knows someone that witnessed it - surely it was busy in that area at that time so I can't believe that not one witness/friend of a witness is on twitter and can verify what happened. He's said that a few Blades helped them out (which is a plus point) but again, nothing to confirm this. Granted I haven't read every single tweet about it but I've read a decent amount and didn't see anything!
They are explicitly blaming the club for the incident too, yet can't seem to confirm the attackers were even at the game which suggests it's a "Sheffield" problem caused by Sheffield chavs and not a Sheffield United problem caused by fans.
Unless you are seriously suggesting there’s the possibility of
a hoax race/homophobic attack here l can’t see any link? Was the Spurs fans Twitter following declining and he needed to stop that?
As for “full investigation” assaults like these don’t just happen at football, it’s nationwide. Other than a cursory glance at nearby cctv there would be no full investigation. Nothing like the Smollet case, just a bit of quasi legal drama for the delectation of fans of My Cousin Vinny.
Hope the old geezer is okay.
Whaaaaat? That's got to be a forum ban.Always best to not pass judgement on something without all the facts .
