First of all I hope you are both OK. Bullshit by our fans and not acceptable. I hope you don’t lump us all in with the bell ends that have done this. Embarrassing!
Pretty sure the OP wasn't the person involved and they're sharing something they saw on twitter... agree with the rest of your post though!First of all I hope you are both OK. If its any consolation he looks pretty good for 70
To be fair it's rare you hear of anything like this from our fans
Yep realised that now. ‘Such a shame we have some delinquents amongst us.Pretty sure the OP wasn't the person involved and they're sharing something they saw on twitter... agree with the rest of your post though!
No excuse whatsoever....if this happened (and I don't know that it did) on the corner by The Cricketers where the away fans and our lot cross, it was bound to happen. Barely any coppers there, just scattered, crossing their fingers watching gridlock with both sets of fans. Was carnage just waiting to happen, fluke if nowt did.
This is terrible, pure cowards, I hope they find them, ban them for life and they get a a lengthy sentence, so sorry this has happened. Absolutely gutting.
I know mate. Seemed fewer coppers than normal though, and obviously more away fans than normal it was a lot more crowded. Probably just needed a bit more presence and common sense rather than cages or owtAlways the same. A policing conundrum that end…always trouble on games that have an edge to em. What do you do though? Cages?![]()
Going by the pics it’s up outside where Berlins wasNo excuse whatsoever....if this happened (and I don't know that it did) on the corner by The Cricketers where the away fans and our lot cross, it was bound to happen. The bloke seems to be making the most of this on Twitter tagging the club in numerous tweets. What is he expecting of the club given it happened some distance away from the ground?
Hope his Dad is ok, my Dad is of a similar age but if I had to take him to hospital following an assault then Twitter wouldn’t be at the forefront of my mind.
A lot of tweets asking what the club is going to do about it."Dad, look at the camera"
"Dad, look at the camera again"
'Dad, just sit there while i get my camera out"
"Dad, ive put it on twitter, lets get you seen to"
Pictures look like it happened up by where Berlins used to be. There is no guarantee that whoever they got into the altercation with even went to the match.I feel sorry for the guy and violence in and around football has no place. However if this happened outside Bramall Lane (Stadium) which it appears it did, it is an assault by a person that was in that area. The club can ban (and in my opinion should) if it turns out that they have club links but it is no different to being assaulted on a night out.
