First of all I hope you are both OK. Bullshit by our fans and not acceptable. I hope you don’t lump us all in with the bell ends that have done this. Embarrassing!
Pretty sure the OP wasn't the person involved and they're sharing something they saw on twitter... agree with the rest of your post though!

No excuse whatsoever....if this happened (and I don't know that it did) on the corner by The Cricketers where the away fans and our lot cross, it was bound to happen. Barely any coppers there, just scattered, crossing their fingers watching gridlock with both sets of fans. Was carnage just waiting to happen, fluke if nowt did.

Always the same. A policing conundrum that end…always trouble on games that have an edge to em. What do you do though? Cages? 🫣🙃

I know mate. Seemed fewer coppers than normal though, and obviously more away fans than normal it was a lot more crowded. Probably just needed a bit more presence and common sense rather than cages or owt

Going by the pics it’s up outside where Berlins was

The bloke seems to be making the most of this on Twitter tagging the club in numerous tweets. What is he expecting of the club given it happened some distance away from the ground?

Hope his Dad is ok, my Dad is of a similar age but if I had to take him to hospital following an assault then Twitter wouldn’t be at the forefront of my mind.

"Dad, look at the camera"

"Dad, look at the camera again"

'Dad, just sit there while i get my camera out"

"Dad, ive put it on twitter, lets get you seen to"

A lot of tweets asking what the club is going to do about it.

Maybe they could send Rhian Brewster and Jack O'Connell up to Plug Nightclub to request the CCTV being as they haven't got much on at the moment.

Hours and hours traveling just to see your team dumped out of the cup, a smack round the head and a night in hospital.

If that’s what they call a birthday treat in Tottenham I’m glad I live in Sheffield.

Hope the old blokes OK but when you’re told an area is a bit stabby and you still go there…….;).

I feel sorry for the guy and violence in and around football has no place. However if this happened outside Bramall Lane (Stadium) which it appears it did, it is an assault by a person that was in that area. The club can ban (and in my opinion should) if it turns out that they have club links but it is no different to being assaulted on a night out.

Pictures look like it happened up by where Berlins used to be. There is no guarantee that whoever they got into the altercation with even went to the match.

When we played Palace last game of the 09 season I recall people coming out of a housing estate opposite carrying wood from a skip to try and scrap with some lads from our minibus.

I don't understand all the spurs fans asking for the club to comment. I see clips on twitter after every match day up and down country of some poor fucker or another getting chinned. I don't see every Tom dick and Harry calling for a statement to be made. Feel for the old sod but fuck me give it a rest.
