Are we the biggest club in the country, who haven’t won a major Trophy since the war.

Biggest club in the country not to win a major trophy post-war.

Biggest club in Europe never to have played in a major European competition.

Any more?

We even managed to lose the poxy Texaco Cup , forgot who we played and I was there !! and that was with Woody n Currie..???.

1979-80. Anglo Scottish Cup semi finalists. St Mirren. Two legs. 0-0 at home. 0-4 away. Anyone on here who went to the match in Scotland?

Not disputing we're not a big club, but by what definition? I've seen over the last week us being compared in stature to West Ham, but they've had far more success than us since the war, winning at least 2 FA Cups and have even won a European trophy. Mind you, fucking Oxford have won more than us since the war!

Sunderland are arguably bigger than either Sheffield club and they've only won 1 trophy since the war. And Newcastle definitely are and they haven't won a domestic trophy since the early 50s.

What's more surprising/embarrassing is not even getting to a cup final since the 30s. Even clubs like Bradford, Tranmere, Cardiff twice, Wigan twice, Hull, Millwall have managed that in the last 20 years alone.

Biggest city in europe without an Airport.

Really are a backwards city when you think about it lol.
Plenty of big European cities share an airport with another city. Cologne, for example, has a population of over a million, and shares with Bonn.

Donny Airport is actually closer to Sheffield than many other airports are to the cities they serve. Its official name is Doncaster Sheffield, or DSA.

Although many choose to deny it, Sheffield does have an airport

It doesn’t. Doncaster Airport is in Doncaster, despite the silly name.

And it's also worth noting that you don't actually want an airport in the city in this modern time of Climate shit that Greta Thunberg tells us about.

You do need good public transport links into the city and this is where Doncaster falls down

Both East Midlands and Manchester are almost double the distance to Donny from the Sheffield Train station... yet you can be at either of those almost in the same time or quicker depending on the time that you need to travel and between 20-60 minutes longer than you would need by car

But it’s still Donny Airport or can we take a share of Nottingham Derby Sheffield East Midlands as well?
Big City my arse we continue to embarrass as always

We get to lots of FA cup semis probably the most by a non top division team but to not have got to one final since 1936 is very disappointing .
But when we do it'll be a reason to enjoy it.

Teams that have never won the fa cup

Leicester.... Hull ... Fulham ....Palace... Birmingham ....QPR ...Luton ...Bristol City...Watford...Brighton....Middlesboro......Millwall...Stoke
