I suppose the best time is immediately after the last ball had been kicked but the company doing it does so based on their availability not your need or want. If it is a long job then there probably is no good time. Not as if they are going to leave no pitches. They can just stagger the times the various teams train.

I suppose the obvious question is why wasn’t it done more than 2 years back when Wilder had his hands on the cookie jar and we’d got income of the like we’d never seen before?

What we are doing now is post-having blown our money.

The options then would have been very different, be that season one or two.

After 2 PL seasons the infrastructure at the club is no better, yet we have written off millions with poor investment in players. One less would have made a world of difference had the manager not “tipped up the pockets” of the Board; something he said he wouldn’t do, he could have left a legacy that went beyond the day he left.
