Nothings a given in a derby match and everyone needs to be on the front foot straight from the off, including the fans. Despite the injuries SWFC have some quality players and with a decent coach they should be up there.

The only thing we can do is get them wobbling. Let’s make it as intimidating as possible from the off.

They think it is a no loose situation for them.
Let's make sure we make they realise losing
5 - 0 is a loss they will never forget.

Play to our level and we have a good chance of winning.

We have seen us lose at home to Bolton too though so I’m taking nothing for granted.

No way can we expect to rock up and win without getting out of second gear.

I've just backed us to win the first half, full time, minus 1, minus 2 and a cheeky one at minus 3.

Believe me, that is not the best omen for our lads!!

Agreed, we can't underestimate them as they have quality players, many of which can turn a game.

The unpredictability of their injury issues and having a new manager makes it hard to know how they will line up, personnel wise and how they will set up, formation wise.

I think they were more of a threat in September, but they are now more of a risk, meaning that they have a wounded animal aspect and you don't know what they will do.

In the past this would be worrying, under Wilson for certain, under Warnock you didn't know how he was going to approach it, worry about them or worry about us... But under Wilder, our preparation gives some reassurance that we won't freeze, everyone knows their job and without doubt we will be "at them" from the start.

We have quality, we've proven in this league that we can match and better every side, few players have really blown us away with blistering pace or brilliance (Sessignon being one). So i am confident that they don't have a player we can't handle, we can deal with them.

We've been vulnerable at the back in December, but seem to be steadying things however its an area which could be exploited by those overpriced, overpaid, under committed upstarts in S6.

I’ve never been so confident that we’ll play well, have most of the possession, more corners and more shots.
This is the case virtually every home match, even during the recent poor run we’ve still generally dominated matches.

However I agree, regards the score line, anything can happen.
However I must say we are due to thrash a team based on how we’ve been playing.

unlikely to be high scoring only been a handfull of scores above 3 each in the past 50 years
both only scored 4 once and wednesday scored 3 3 times and us 4
1-1 is the most often score
Id take 2-1 now , 3 points is all we need

"They (Wednesday) have got a crowd to play as well," the United manager said. "One hundred per cent. There's a real connection between the fans and this team and vice versa. The players enjoy representing this football club and the fans enjoy watching them doing what they are doing. I'm not sure that happens everywhere else." CW

Whatever players line up for them tonight, in whichever formation, they won't be mugs. Out of form? Yes. Under performing? Yes. Mugs? No. Don't let their spin fool you. Everyone of the starting eleven that sets up against us tonight will have been capped at some level of international football. Treat them with respect, concentrate on our Plan A and keep 11 on the pitch.

*Edit. Other than Jack Hunt, he appears not have been capped at some level of international football. Obviously, he's the token mug and the exception that proves the rule.

Put a different caption in the place of that Wendy influenced rubbish and that image could become a classic.

To quote William Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar' :

"Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war!"
