Nothings a given in a derby match and everyone needs to be on the front foot straight from the off, including the fans. Despite the injuries SWFC have some quality players and with a decent coach they should be up there.
The only thing we can do is get them wobbling. Let’s make it as intimidating as possible from the off.
COYRAWW!
Agreed, we can't underestimate them as they have quality players, many of which can turn a game.
The unpredictability of their injury issues and having a new manager makes it hard to know how they will line up, personnel wise and how they will set up, formation wise.
I think they were more of a threat in September, but they are now more of a risk, meaning that they have a wounded animal aspect and you don't know what they will do.
In the past this would be worrying, under Wilson for certain, under Warnock you didn't know how he was going to approach it, worry about them or worry about us... But under Wilder, our preparation gives some reassurance that we won't freeze, everyone knows their job and without doubt we will be "at them" from the start.
We have quality, we've proven in this league that we can match and better every side, few players have really blown us away with blistering pace or brilliance (Sessignon being one). So i am confident that they don't have a player we can't handle, we can deal with them.
We've been vulnerable at the back in December, but seem to be steadying things however its an area which could be exploited by those overpriced, overpaid, under committed upstarts in S6.
