The Cup. I really don't see how staying in the Prem can compare.

It’s been a long time since 1925...!

From a romantic POV obviously winning the cup is the correct answer here.

However, unfortunately, football nowadays is all about the £'s so staying up should be the priority. Every season spent in The PL means it's easier to stay there long term due to the massive difference in revenue generated per season.

It's OK to be a yo yo team once or twice but unless you become a regular fixture in the PL then that's all you'll ever be so it almost means the bi yearly tilt at promotion almost becomes irrelevant as you know what's coming the following season if you gain promotion unless you somehow get taken over by someone with the finances to sustain a PL club.

The only way to gain a PL wage structure is by being in there year after year and being able to increase the wage bill year on year to the required level. Even then it's no guarantee as Bournemouth found out last season.

Because there are numerous threads saying we can’t compete in monetary terms with Villa, Brighton etc

A season in the premier league is worth around £100m

FA cup winners get £3.4m

Secure our prem status then go for the cup in a few years when we have the players to do so

Sorry for wanting my club to win a major trophy now.
Whoosh mate. I was being sarcastic.

There are always a few who think wanting a bit of success makes you a glory hunter when our history speaks for itself.

Cup easily, rather get a big win like that just to survive & struggle again next year.
