Well we must be doing something right i'll take a hard fought 0-0 at Swindon, bonus pigs back to losing ways :D

I'd take a point at Swindon any day, although I heard Collins missed a sitter right at the death but according to the Sky Sports reporter Swindon were dominating :)

It's a very good point - a long way from home on a Tuesday night against a top-half team smarting from a shock on Saturday.

Well done Danny and the lads. Particular mention for Big George. What a prospect!

What a pity Tranmere are 20 points clear and uncatchable. :)

We are the least shit in a shockingly shit league. God (or the Nigerian) help us if we go up.

Absolute nonsense. The team will be very different if and when we go up. Lots of promoted teams have to strengthen and we'd be no different. DW knows exactly what he's doing and he will be allowed to recruit within reason.

We're in Division Three. That is shameful. We are, however, top. We can't do any better than that for now.

We are where we are... and at the moment we are top on 0-0s 1-0s and crappy performances!!!
COYRAWW

Last season at this stage we would have been third. Dont know what that shows. Just sayin.

were top of the league. were top of the leaaaaaague. who cares if were crap, were top of the league!

can somebody stop the season now please, i want to get off...

Last season we played fantastically, had arguably the best striker in the division (and the championship?), were scoring quality goals and lots of them yet we still didn't win promotion. Sounds like it's a dullard season from an entertainment perspective and one full of 1-nil's and draws but who really gives a f k if we go up. I won't.

19 goals in 16 games. its like watching paint dry. how we have 32 points is beyond me. though you can say the same about stevenage too. garbage division this year. all you can do is hope we dont get any injuries/suspensions and win 1-0 every other week. be amazed if 90 points doesnt win the league.

statto.com has us predicted to get 84 points, and still win the league by 4 points. wouldnt surprise me at all. 80 points got 5th last year, this year it could even win the thing. who is as good as mk dons (80) and huddersfield (81) last year? right now youd have to say nobody. the entire top 10 look like teams who would be happy to scrape the last play off spot. not that i care if we win the league. 80 points or 100 points is all the same if we get more than anybody else does. but being a blade always feels like waiting for it to go tits up. anybody who is confident with the way we are playing, and the squad we have, is braver than me.

I can't see us continuing to play so poorly and keeping the unbeaten run going. This season is proving that from an entertainment POV, it's much more complicated than "football" V "hoofball". Dull as dishwater so far, but still top of the league!

;)

Top stuff Kenneth.

5 goals coming in one game as well so 'paint dry' is being kind. It is truly pathetic scoring so few against such awful opposition and I think your last sentence is a polite way of saying no way can this squad go up. If so, I agree. No prospect of changing the way we play. Any side going 16 unbeaten from start of term should be virtual certs for automatic - we are far, far from that.

PS - it's McCabe's fault not Danny's although if he persists in playing Williams that will change.

I noticed how with Charlton winning a lot of 1-0's and general close games last year, they managed to stick 5 past Cardiff last night. If we emulate them this season I'll be delighted, the most important thing this year is getting out of this league and I really don't care how we do it if I'm honest!

Charlton's goal difference last term was plus 46. I really do not see any real comparison Norfolk.

Totallya gree re promotion being the only possible conclusion to this season but I aint convinced at all that scoring 1 goal a game is the way to do it.

You Bet - where do you get the notion that Wilson will be allowed to recruit (even within reason) - probably have to take Monty back from Oz!

well...we dont really have a squad do we? we have a first XI...well...X and any useless berk we put in on the left midfield...then we have an injured goalie and 2,405,215 other strikers of dubious quality. not really a squad by anybodies definition. if we stay top til the end danny deserves a knighthood. and if we go through the entire season unbeaten, he probably will have religions named after him in the 25th century. its hard to be critical, the manager and players are doing better than anybody could hope for under the circumstances. but im about as confident as a ginger bespectacled anorak-wearing star trek fan asking kelly brook out on a date.

I'm happy to watch drying paint to get out of this league. No one in this division is producing sparkling performances, the only difference between United and many of the other sides is that we're keeping more clean sheets. I will take boring 1-0's over exciting 4-3 defeats.

Our current squad would not be good enough for the next level. I've said that before and maintain that view. We would be soundly beaten on most days by most of the Championship sides. We do however have a decent core to our team and with some decent recruitment in a couple of areas it could be vastly improved.

Need to get there first and we will. The Blades will go up this season.

thats my hope, that we scrape though to january without any calamities and bring in a couple of decent midfielders. could make the world of difference. but then knowing mccabe we could just as easily reach january and sell mcdonald, flynn and doyle for a bag of balls combined and end up playing a midfield of cresswell, miller, cofie and bob carolgees. to steal and change a quote from red dwarf "mccabe?? i wouldnt let him open a can of beans"

Each game I keep thinking this is it, this is the game we "click" and it all comes right, we spank someone for 6 and never look back........

Although were playing garbage, I still believe with the squad we've got we still can improve our performances!!!!!!

What gives you such unmitigated optimism?
If Cresswell is our Plan B it's a good job this Pub League has deteriorated to such depths !
I cannot see that we will improve except if Wilson gets his head out of his arse and stops picking same owd same owd just because we have not lost - Miller must wonder what he has to do!

why did he bring on cressers instead of miller last night? had miller gone for a pish?
