Would you rather he aimed for anywhere but the top 10?

I think there's a hint of removing the pressure and panic from certain factions within this comment. When we aren't in form or looking particularly confident, would we benefit from him saying anything other than Top 3 at Christmas would be a failure?

Beighton has a point though. Aim higher than you feel you can achieve and you never know... Aim to be in the top ten and we might slip lower.

Behind closed doors Ross mate Blackie will want to be top of the league. You could aim higher, but then you're only going to dissapoint if your target isn't reached, although at a push I'd have said top 6, but Blackie has to cover his back. I'd be happy with top 6, anything below would be dissapointing if you ask me.

You're only going to disappoint even more if your target isn't reached at a lower level though, so it's only the same thing.
