Of course.Perfect opportunity for you to teach him the error of his waysI took my 14 year old grandson to the Sty as his dad who is also from the dark side, had to work. My grandson has a form of Autism so needs to be with someone when he goes out although he is getting better as he gets older and he asked me to take him so without hesitation i said yes.
I am 70 and have followed the Blades here there and everywhere in my time. I told a friend of mine who's a Blade and he said no way would he have taken anyone to Hillsboro under any circumstances.
I was amazed at his reaction. Surely love for your family comes before love for your football team.
We really enjoyed our day but i kept secret from him that i had a Blades vest under my shirt.
Would you do what i did?
No problem at all....... I offered to take my Owl mate who had cancer , in the end we didn't make it I regret to say . Of course it is a choice but surely that is an opportunity to engage with the lad and try something different? no idea what the weather was like but a walk, a meal at Macdonald's ( or Weatherspoon) cinema or a meal whilst out walking would have been an idea ......and cheaper? Sorry, but an opportunity missed
I sent this "wry" smile to my Blade brother after the last gasp QPR equaliser.Top Man, derfblade.3:, family before owt.
Suspect there would be a wry smile on your face in the 96th minute, due respect to your grandson, there certainly was in our kitchen, in fact I recon it were more like."gggerrrrrrinthere".
Made the day, salubrious.
Go on then what's the tale of woo-Nope, won't set foot in that place ever again.
They don't look to disheartened with the result, probably finally sunk in, "we aren't what we thought we were".I sent this "wry" smile to my Blade brother after the last gasp QPR equaliser.

No apologies needed, was on there on, That BOXING DAY, with our 14 year old daughter, Fucking Horrendous place to be. Packed in like sardines first half, just a few yards in on terracing. Come half time and realised there was a stack of clear space at the front. OK then, except for the result.Nearly got crushed to death on their shitty away end in 2012 when going for a piss.
Swore then I'd never go again that would still apply given the OP initial post. Sorry
Of course I would do that and well done to you for doing so!I took my 14 year old grandson to the Sty as his dad who is also from the dark side, had to work. Same here, every time. Family comes firstUnder those circumstances, yes.
You'd do anything for your kids / grandkids, particularly if they have special needs.
and QPR of courseOf course. You'd be going to support your grandson, not the team you're watching.
Where's everyone going?I sent this "wry" smile to my Blade brother after the last gasp QPR equaliser.

Obvs!and QPR of course![]()
Very difficult one this! I'd offer to take him to the Lane first and see what he said. If he refused then I'd be tempted to say could you go to Hillsborough for the next home match instead with your dad maybe?! Impressed you took him though, family over football and all that derfblade.3 !I took my 14 year old grandson to the Sty as his dad who is also from the dark side, had to work.
