Still waiting to hear where the club is progressing ???

tip:- if you don't like it shut your eyes, put your fingers in your, ears scream WHAAA WHAAA WHAAA and keep your dreamworld intact
What kind of response was that? Which part, specifically, of my post was it a reply to?

It's not that I don't want to discuss this, it's just that I don't know what you're talking about. I suspect that you don't either.

The big difference was for all his faults Reg did care a little bit and invested in the team to make sure we only had one season down there, and he was never quite as high on the rich list as our Kev

Oh dear.

McCabe funded us massively in last year's 3rd division campaign (do you really think we could have continued to pay Evans,Quinn, Williamson etc their wages withour KM's largesse?). We got 90 points in said campaign which in any other year in the history of the 3rd division would have seen us promoted with points to spare.

As usual, the bad luck curse of SUFC (Evans going down, Wednesday going on a superlative run at the end of the season) saw us miss out, but to blame KM for this is lunacy to such an extent that it makes David Icke look sensible.

What part of we are in the third tier of English football, £50m+ in debt with no assets don't you understand ??? please please please tell me where the club is progressing or how a forum clearout of complaining posters will change anything in your goldfish bowl ???

This can't be right. We're up to our eyeballs in debt because he's a tight-fisted bastard that refuses to spend money.

Sorry, at which point did I or anybody else say that everything is rosy? While you're looking for that post, see if you can find the one that says I'm done with Sheffield United.

Also, I have to ask why you're incapable of mature debate without resorting to childish nonsense like your "goldfish" remark.

Oh dear, just shows how bad this pub league is............... 90pts, bad luck blah blah
McCabe allowed those contracts in the third division and we still wern't good enough bad luck my arse. Best yet that the goal scorers of last year are no longer with the club and people still believe we are in a better overall state than last season. Yeah right......... staff redundancies and ground renting paints a rosey picture.
FFS unbelievable

Don't you think we would have won a few of our last games with Evans in the team? Do you think it was coincidence that we were winning every week, then stoped when we lost him?

Do you thnk it was bad luck, on the club's behalf, that Evans did what he did in his private life?

If you can't acknowledge an element of bad luck last season, then it appears your amchair will beckon for many more years to come.

Let's hope McCabe continues to contribute to what you refuse to.

Wrong, McCabe allowed those contracts in the Championship, it's not his fault the handsomely rewarded players did not perform and got the club relegated.

Poor decisions yes, lack of investment or ambition bollocks.

No, we aren't. The debt, and the assetts, are held by the PLC.

It's far from rosey, but not as you portray it. Our real problem is the current wage bill.

What's the solution then Metal?
And could we not be worse off with others at the helm?

Kinda funny how most posters can admit that McCabe made bad choices etc allowed average players in most cases to be on top contracts which the club can't afford and in the next breath suggest we should be thankfull that he has honoured those contracts from his own pocket while at the same time stripping the club of assets (Bramall Lane & the Academy) and renting them back to us because we are in such a bad state we can't afford to pay him back even the interest on the loans he took out to pay the debts he ran up.
Sorry that is a weird way of thinking to me.

I thought TC's was employed by Football in The Community not SUFC except on match days when he was a host??

I'm pissed off with this McWobblegob bollocks. Would you call him that to his face? No you wouldn't. So STFU!

Yes I would...his management of the Blades has been at best pathetic and incompetent......the contracts he has signed off are the sole reason we are where we are.

It's no surprise to me that when the BDTBL equity ran out the cheque book firmly shut !

It's a bit like the bloke who buys his council house on the cheap .......... blows the equity then starts to cry !

PATHETIC !

Gentlemen.

May I remind you to keep things civil and debate the point at hand without resorting to personal digs.

Much obliged

I'm sorry to any I have offended, even you Mr McCabe.

No through his mistakes with money he has spent in the past he has now had to become tight-fisted.

McCabe gambled his money on the wrong people such as Warnock who will always be better at free transfers rather than spending money and Robson who just spent high on some decent players but he was too shit to manage them.

In the mean time McCabe has spun us any old crap in the hope of justifying his own actions. I won't complain about him not spending money as every club has to their cloth accordingly but the lies and his relationship with the fans is on its arse.

Not sure I can believe anything he has to say anymore which is sad to admit really.

This is a thread about Tony Currie.
I shed no tears. Turn your back and sod off to Leeds like you did before.

.

I think it was a thread started by someone who was trying to have a go at the club which was then backed up by a couple posters (the usual suspects)of a similar mindset (probably because some fans have started to feel positive about the season ahead and they wanted a moan))... and of course when people disagree the old arguments come out about finances, investment etc etc (some of which not backed up by fact...just rumour)which then turns the debate ittelevant.

Some would call it attention seeking, others would say they are looking for anything to ahve a go at the club about.

Kevin McCabe's shocking decisions are what got us there in the first place though and he had to stump up anyway to protect his investment. I can't see much altruism here. the fact that we are in a worse position than when Mike Macdonald left is the bottom line here i'm afraid.

Oh dear .....................as usual the BDTBL management have fooked up yet again.
A simple club press release was all that was needed !
Any news from them yet ?

Why on earth should the club issue a press release on this? I'm normally straight there criticising the club website for lack of info, but frankly I wouldn't expect an announcement if the manager of the ticket office or club shop left, and don't expect anything of the sort for something like this.

Were talking about TC here .........not some random.

I think the guy who started this thread had a valid point of view, it really is not a good state of affairs when anyone has to lose their job be it TC or Joe Bloggs. Now when redundancies are mentioned I do think finances, investment etc DO play a big part and ARE very relevant. That being the case I find it distasteful when other posters are told to STFU or it is presumed they will no longer need to comment or that there should be a clear out from the forum of anyone who dares to criticise the club (as you call them the usual suspects). And these same people have the nerve to call myself and others childish, sorry some of you guys need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

You and others like you are constantly telling us that you're finished with the club. Threatening to stop being a fan as if we're honoured to experience your presence. I only said I'd welcome you leaving. I never told you to leave.

But then... isn't this typical troll behaviour? Work hard to get attention, then cry when you're challenged. I suppose I should be thankful you didn't accuse me of being a Nazi or suggest I move to North Korea.

Still waiting for these by the way.
