Seriously, not sure why you have to act in this way. I don’t think its about all sharing the same viewpoint, but discuss subjects in a sensible adult manner. As for cliques, I’m not in any (that i’m aware of)

The daft thing was that in between your nonsense you were posting some decent stuff on this thread (the reasons I was reading it) but you seem to have taken off in a childish manner, when challenged by others.

Quite simple really Swiss, it becomes tiresome when anyone who posts anything at all critical of McCabe or the way SUFC has been run in recent times is immediately jumped on and as has happened recently are encouraged to.................

I think this thread has got bogged down in bickering and childish comments (for which you have played a big part)

I followed this thread from the start and whilst I don't subscribe to your point of view (entirely) with regards to McCabe and the negativity towards the club right now, you make some decent points. A lot of what you say is based on assumptions and worse case scenarios, which I can understand, but I think a lot of those comments need taking with a pinch of salt. Likewise with the more positive comments.

Over the years McCabe and senior personnel at the club have made mistakes, strategies have been found to be wrong and were in the position were in. That said, the same man has dug his heels in and also tried to pull things back around. He still gets criticised for his earlier mistakes, I guess that will always be the way.

I have no issues with criticism or praise of McCabe, each has it's place so long as there is supporting arguments. Some of us like to contribute to threads like this or in my case I often just read them with interest. It's why i use this forum.

This forum has thrived for the last few years because of sensible debate, don't think that because someone disagrees with you that you are being singled out and don't also play the victim card, you've given as good as you got on this thread :)

What I can't abide is the way threads like this are allowed by its contributors to degenerate into play ground style antics, your post was just an example of how ridiculous I thought it was getting (I'm not an administrator and it's probably not my place to comment) so replied to you.

That's just not true. I'm ever so critical of McCabe. Being critical doesn't mean that everything he's done is wrong or with the wrong motives.

I've challenged you before about this and time and time again you come back with comments ike "your hero McCabe".

If you don't want to be ridiculed, enter into the debate. Raise your game. Though I've accused you of being dumb, I can see that you aren't. But that makes the lack of argument in your posts more inexcusable.

I think this dumb thread has got you slightly confused, I agree the thread has become childish and if you want to make one of my posts an example feel free but to me that is singling me out, don't be surprised if I throw a bit of mud back at ya, as you say I can give as good as I get. As for playing some sort of victim card I don't see that it is me who is complaining of being ganged up on despite all the name calling coming my way, water..... duck's back spring to mind, at the end of the day it is the name callers that look the fools on this thread. Whether it is your place to comment or not if you choose to comment please be impartial otherwise you just join the ranks of the wannabe internet playground bullies.

I think you're being hypocritical about being ganged up on, as this thread gathered pace with yourself and Princess Annes Dog having a go at Tarquin.

Bored me into submission as well, I don't see the point in trying to have a quote...... Adult debate, not on the terms of fools who resort to name calling etc when the debate does not go their way.
 
This thread has become very silly now. As someone who rarely posts, it is quite obvious that both Tarquers and Metal have strayed beyond what would call normal "etiquette", both have accused each other of ignorance or bullying in various shades of grey, both pretend to themselves and us that they have had consistent viewpoints which the respective other contributor has willfully misconstrued. Irrespective of the merits of their initial argument, it seems obvious that this thread is not exactly this board's finest hour, and by reflection, the thread's main contributors. :confused:
