His first low to the bottom corner, his second from a greater distance top corner. He had a decent game besides the goals too.

Much better performance. Collins clear MOTM for me - dealt with absolutely everything.

I never give that much credence to the possession stats but the BBC have it down as 71% to 29% in favour of Crawley. Was the possession really that one sided?

Not sure if it was quite to that degree, but we did struggle to retain possession and did sit back at 1-0. We defended extremely well though.

super, super tone. super, super tone. super, super tone.

super tony mcmahon.

who knew?!? :)

I believe Tony is better than Westlake , Westlake needs some more experience in L1

In defence he is a class above Westlake. But against teams who sit back we need our fullbacks to overlap. He hasn't done so once all season.

Hopefully he'll pop in some more free kicks in the remaining games, because set pieces are his only attacking contribution.

By chance, at the Bristol Rovers game I chatted to Tony's father and his mate during the half time break, as we all enjoyed a smoke.

They had made the long journey down from the North East to support Tony and the team. Good on them I thought, decent blokes.

I had just purchased a large pasty and went back to my seat to consume the pastry delight. The bloke I sat next to, big Ian, said he was feeling a bit rough and I enquired if it was down to the pasty he had just consumed. No he said..................it was the six cans of strongbow he had drunk on the train down, and possibly the effects of the four pints of snakebite he had drunk before the match.

Well that was a relief, as I didn't want to waste the pasty.

Actually he had our one shot of any worth at all, from open play, a fierce drive well saved by Tranmere keeper, last Saturday.

After 70 minutes it was showing 50 something percent to Crawley and 40 something to us. Even if we had not touched the ball after that (and we scored in that time) the lowest we could have got was 32% so it just shows the stats are nonsense
