He was ill last week and tonsilitus this week... Could be a prolonged case and therefore hospital is needed.

But you have that if it's a test for Glandular Fever where all your glands swell up and you have no energy.

Noticed Brooks has struggled to get to the pace in last couple of games so serious risk of Glandular Fever that could sideline him for about 3-6 months

Glandular Fever. I remember it well. I didn't know I'd had it because I didn't know what it was. But it was confirmed with a blood test many years later. Just think you are a free wheeling bicycle wheel rolling along on a sweet smelling warm summers day with no care in the world then some twat sticks a big gnarly stick in your wheel and whatever you do, there is no way you can turn that wheel round and you are exhausted when you try to do it. Sweats, Knackered, Slow, Exhausted. Shit condition.

2 of the no marks ran into each other just before Dane slotted home the 1st goal

...and when Deano nutmegged some crappy keeper I suddenly found myself over thr barrier from John Street and was heading towards the pitch when a coulpe of stewards came at me. Just made it back into John Street as I thought what the fk am I doing on the pitch? 10 pints probably had alot to do with it :D

1st and only time I've invaded the pitch but wow what a day - only bettered by the return fixture :D

Brooks ill = McCabe ££££ and Wilder Leonard.

Simple maths.

That’s why Brooks was out. At the hospital getting it checked out apparently.

Because that’s what you do when you have tonsillitis...go to hospital for a cannula.....

Definitely misses Sunderland and may miss Bolton game.

So, how much have we sold him for? £5m+ add ons is my guess

Wilder lying then?

A lot on here seem to have had glandular fever at some point...

Gay.

I got glandular fever at 19 and went down to 10.5 stone. Needing to sleep during day. Missed the Blackburn quarter final replay because of it.

Only had a blood test at the GP.

I also had glandular fever at 19. Was sent to the old Chesterfield Royal Hospital where I had blood tests. Off work for 6 weeks, probably went back too soon. Strange illness, felt like death one day and fine the next. I continued to have blood tests at the hospital every two weeks for about a year afterwards as my blood count wasn’t back in normal values.

However...

Where has this come from about Brooks and glandular fever? There’s no evidence of that at all. We’ve been told it’s tonsillitis, so why are some folk trying to make out it’s not?

I haven’t seen the photo of him in bed on a drip. However, if that’s the case then he is most likely receiving fluids or antibiotics. Maybe he has severe tonsillitis and is finding it difficult to swallow and take food by mouth. This would be reasonable.

If it was glandular fever, unless he was severely dehydrated, he’s unlikely to be on a drip receiving fluids. And he wouldn’t be on antibiotics because glandular fever is a viral infection and antibiotics don’t work for that.

So, I’m happy with the club’s explanation of tonsillitis personally, although this has nothing to do with whether he’ll be sold or not. That’s a totally different matter!

Wilder lying then?

Or keeping us onside...? I’ve heard Wilder’s interview, he seemed annoyed but not overly upset by Brooks letting the world know he was badly. A little word of warning in his ear regards leaking team news coming his way.

Remember, James Beattie had flu... This is why some might disbelieve the clubs words and statements.

Not a pot to piss in. A talent worth a few quid. Wilder wants to strengthen.

2+2 is 4 minus 1 that’s 3 quick maths

Don’t buy it
