Good result already with Brighton drawing with Wba. A Spurs win would round off a good night for us. Come on u Spurs!

None of this matters... We will almost certainly be rock bottom by the end of Chelsea.
Agreed.
I know that some maintain that 6 games into the season is "still early", but plenty of sides that we would have hoped to see in the bottom third are already away from us with the sort of cushion that will require 3 or 4 game winning streaks to claw back. For a side that currently looks incapable of winning any game, that is already looking desperate.

4 points in the next 2 games will do. Man C are not the force they was and Chelsea always give you a chance. The way we played at Liverpool is the way forward, fuck em and have a go.
Don't be coming on here with your optimism mate. It's not wanted.Bang on
All those fixtures. Never give in eh.3 wins out of 4 around Christmas and then, after another short slump, an incredible run of 7 consecutive wins in the Spring for Bassett's side.
Of course, Bassett had the talismanic Brian Deane to call upon and made the inspired signing of Glyn Hodges in January, who provided the creative x-factor that had been hitherto largely missing.
The current side is a technically far superior team but unfortunately whilst always competitive, does not have the individuals that ultimately - at the 'margins' that Chris always talks about - will win us games.
Don't forget City and Chelsea have European games a few days before playing us. I know they have big squads but it still means changing the team around. If we keep the same side and go for them you never know.None of this matters if we a) don't start scoring goals and stop conceding them b) win some games...hell A game would do
Looked at the fixtures next few weeks and West Brom, Burnley and Fulham all have more winnable games in the next 2.
We will almost certainly be rock bottom by the end of Chelsea.
Then there is huge pressure on the West Ham, West Brom games. If we failed to win either if those to go 10 without a win and it's going to be very hard to come back.
I look at Norwich last year who played well to start but the longer the bad run went on then the confidence just erodes away.
To not pick up a point from that first 4 has given us a right old bloody obstacle to climb.
Know most of the above is stating the bleeding obvious but I do think if we finished 4th bottom from where we are now with the problems we have at both ends of the pitch and the start we have had it would be fantastic.
Hope you had a few quid on that forecast Derf.Good result already with Brighton drawing with Wba. A Spurs win would round off a good night for us. Come on u Spurs!
I normally call at the bookies but with them being closed didn't get one on. I used to have an online account with William Hill but spent too much so got rid. Don't win much but enjoy watching the matches and results as they come in.Hope you had a few quid on that forecast Derf.
13th. We finished 9th in 1991-92I'm sure we finished 9th that season...
No aguero ......have another look at their squad, they have some players that are prettay prettay goodReally...!
Didn't United play better last time out?
Are you saying that the players are not feeling positive after the game at Anfield, or that there's no team development by Wilder?
Citeh have just lost Aguero for a month. Chelsea have Lamps as a manager and last time we beat them three nil. This is a season of transition for United. This is the difficult season when Sheff U need to transform themselves from a football club that's not that important, into a team that has a real profile.
This is the season that Wilder needs to show he is the best, and that he's not just a lucky guy who happened to encourage a bunch of useless bastards towards a "plucky" good run of results.
In life there is a need to be positive and I think Wilder knows all about that. UTB!
