Don't disagree with those comments - one of the issues again was yet another change in midfield. Coutts and Doyle in centre mid and with the amount of possession Colchester had it was at times a bit embarrassing.
Lack of confidence is also correct - it just doesn't help with the team changing every week.
The lack of a forward pass is difficult to comprehend as "movement" should be taught in training - and the lack of it in games seems to be that we don't practice against teams that close us down - we just struggle against them - ie: Colchester last night.

It was just a weird game last night, and not really pretty to watch. Think I learnt one thing - Done is a decent player. Playing Couuts and Doyle in centre mid doesn't seem to work and unsure whether NC sees this as regular.

Interesting times as usual - don't you just love football !

Disagree completely ,I thought Doyle/Coutts worked well and freed up the wingers. Personally would rather see Reed , Scougal or McNulty than Baxter behind or with Done. James Wallace will come in eventually if he gets fit to either replace Doyle or free up Coutts to play in front of Brayford.

On the basis of - if we have it they can't score. Didn't Nigel's dad say that once years ago.

He may very well have said that - not sure. It seems to be the philosophy of a lot of coaches - that's why Barca immediately hunt down in packs for the first 5 seconds after losing possession. If they don't get it back in 5 seconds, they then drop off and regroup.

Seems quite simple and if you watch Chelsea they do the same - makes sense and not sure why more don't do it.

I am not sure 2 defensive minded players will work - seems to be little creativity with both playing and we don't have much anyway. Like what I see in Coutts, just seems too much like Doyle. With Baxter in the team the creativity on Tuesday was sadly lacking, particularly 1st half.
Law of averages say you will score more if you create more and we just don't seem to create enough quality chances.
As for Reed, think you and I agree with Reed/Baxter so yes I would too.

As for Wallace - he looked pure quality and I am sure we would not be where we are if he had been fit.

if he had been fit he wouldn't have been here.. ooh sorry my bad ;)

He is here because we are paying stupid wages. If our wage bill is £8M a year as has been suggested, some of our players are on bucket loads.

I hope this all doesn't go tits up.
