Think it'll be a strange game tomorrow. Looks as though the winds are really going to hit with a vengeance and it will make the game a farce and a lottery. Hope there's a decision made early. Looking at the Bournemouth team can't understand why they're so down the table. Very strange decision.
By the way there's one ticket left, South Stand lower tier. Looks really lonely all there by itself. Well off to the pub and ready to hear about the 4000+ fans today, why they should be in the Prem and that Monk is not a big enough manager for a club of their size.

Anywhere near the coast, high altitude and/ or has flat terrain has higher windspeeds.
Sheffield is inland and protected by hills....so has a lower comparative windspeed....it’s actually one of the least windy places in England tomorrow.

Tomorrow Sheffield should see windspeeds of 25mph with gusts up to 55mph....the windiest conditions tomorrow are from 10am whilst 2pm.
In Belgium and Hollands it’s a constant 35-40mph winds with gusts up to 70 mph....they have no choice but to cancel.

Even that is rare.....crowd safety normally relates to treacherous road conditions due to ice and snow.
It‘s Sunday tomorrow, there won’t be much traffic on the road...as long as you drive slower and be extra vigilant everyone should be fine.

The only scenario regards crowd safety is if slate tiles are being blown off roofing or structures are blown down....don’t think this will happen with 50mph gusts.
All the news headlines talking about 80mph winds and potential danger relate to coastal areas.

The wind is from the south west and west-south-west
So it’s coming from the Westfield corner stand heading towards the Pukka pie corner..
Im sat near the front of the Kop...so will be sat in rain all match.....it’ll be like the old days when terracing was often uncovered.

Don’t think that excuse has ever been used before....apart from Derby County 2 years ago.

Remember the Derby v Cardiff match 2 years ago, loads of overnight snow but the Derby stadium and immediate surrounding area was cleared and totally fine. Derby had injury problems and decided to cancell the match due to their fans travelling from further afield and not being able to get their cars off their drives.
Warnock was furious and accused Derby of cheating.

The club are only responsible in and around the stadium....so as long as the ball roles properly and a standing ball isnt blown away...then expect it to be played.

Cerberus, it's not about "nanny state and health and safety". Totally agree about personal responsibility, but organisations make these announcements because a significant number of people DON'T take personal responsibility and would have a go at suing Network Rail, SUFC, Meadowhall etc, if they injured a fingernail through being blown over by a light breeze when on the premises. I'm not a great fan of big organisations, but get why they put these announcements out. It's a form of "insurance" to stop claims by the sort of morons who claim whiplash when their car has been lightly bumped by a scooter doing 15mph (personal experience here!). Insurance companies are no angels, but us punters aren't helped by these scammers!

Yes I remember that - that was a slice of prime Warnock wasn't it? Cheating get!

Does anyone know where this rumour about the match possibly being cancelled, due to wind and rain, has come from? Has someone on here made it up? Because never in my life have I heard of a match being called off because a storm is approaching. Snow and ice - yes - I can see that. But wind and rain?

I think this is probably a figment of someone's imagination on here?
