Could be wrong but I'd like to think Souza could play on the left of 2 DMCs as he essentially gets the tackle in then plays the short pass.

The players that are classed as ball carries. Again less important that they are on the side of their strong foot and it may actually allow them to dribble across the pitch better.

Having a left footer on the left and right footer on the right makes more sense for the possession based / obsessed teams and I don't think we will be that too much in the Premier league.

But Davies never has... and he's not played as much as barkley last season due to injuries ...

As I said, 2 uninspiring signings. But one is 24 and and 1 is 29. Plus, I'd he can even just get fit he's at least an upgrade athletically in CM. We need that. Hamer being here takes Barkley off set pieces and removes the main reason you'd sign him.
